    Vivo, an emerging brand that has secured a place in the top five global brands, has launched the V5s, the Vivo’s newest addition to its ‘perfect selfie V5 line. Joining the V5s launch  last May 19th at SM North EDSA  was Tony Labrusca, Boyband PH, Verniece Enciso, and Vivo executives.

    The phone boasts new advance selfie technologies that are bound to impress selfie enthusiasts.  Here are some quick specifications and features announced during the event:


    Continuing the legacy brought  by the rest of V5 series phones, the Vivo V5s brings in an even more elegant and enhanced design. Focusing on minimalist aesthetics, the sleek design of the phone sports slimmer bezels, a cleaner look, and a profile that exudes elegance. With it is a 5.5-inch display that’s protected with 2.5D corning gorilla glass. At the back are U-shaped cover lines that contribute to clean and premium looking aesthetic.


    Vivo is no stranger to perfect selfies. Selfies enthusiasts can now rejoice with  the phone’s upgraded specifications. Featuring advanced camera and selfie tools the brand is known for, the phone brings in a variety of enhancements. The all new V5s features a 20-megapixel front camera with an aperture of f2.0 for taking that perfect selfie. The light-sensing area is now 1/ 2.78inch, which allows more light to come in for brightness. Coupled with this is a 13-megapixel, f.2.2 camera that can render images of up to 52 megapixels.


    The phone brings in several features to the table which allows it to compete aggressively: 5G capacity for stronger internet connections, 4GB of RAM, 64 GB of ROM (expandable up to 256 GB), Vivo’s signature Hi-Fi technology, App Cloning, and many more.

    Funtouch OS 3.0

    Running in the phone is a personalized operating system, Funtouch 3.0, which is built on top of Android 6.0. Vivo’s OS allows app cloning for convenient use of tech-savvy millennials and professionals. To add to this is Smart Split 2.0, a multitasking feature that allows two tasks on the screen to be displayed at the same time.
