Vivo opens the year with the futuristic NEX Dual Display Edition. Part of its NEX premium line of smartphones, the new Vivo device sports not just one but two screens.
Flaunting a groundbreaking dual-display design, the new Vivo NEX has a 6.39-inch Ultra FullView Super AMOLED display on the front and another 5.49-inch Super AMOLED display at the back.
Joining its rear display panel is a triple camera setup consisting of a 12 MP Dual-Pixel IMX 363 sensor with 4-axis OIS, a camera dedicated for night shooting, and a Time of Flight (TOF) 3D camera for point-to-point distance measuring, 3D Modeling and more. The cameras are complemented by NEX’s camera modes Mirror and Pose Director, as well as AI Scene Recognition, AI Filters and AI Portrait Framing, along with the diffusion lighting from the Selfie Softlight.
The rear of this NEX iteration also has a Lunar Ring feature which creates a glowing band of colors to alert the user of new messages and notifications, and will pulse to music.
Powering the NEX Dual Display is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor. It is also said to ship with 10 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM.
Like other recently released Vivo smartphones, the new NEX will come with the brand’s In-Display Fingerprint Scanning technology and 3D sensing technology.
