The Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines’ (IMMAP) Boomerang Awards, the country’s premiere digital marketing awards show, returns this 2022 and is now accepting entries from companies, marketing agencies, marketing technology companies, start-ups, SMEs, as well as innovation and consulting firms until August 15th, 2022.
The 2022 Boomerang Awards will double down on recognizing and celebrating the best of the best when it comes to creative and effective digital marketing technology and innovation in the Philippines.
Entries in the digital marketing field such as social media (videos, posts, chat apps, immersive), search (SEO, SEM), email, CRM, e-commerce, entertainment (music, video, mobile games), creator & influencer, data analytics, to name a few, are accepted in the Boomerang Awards.
What’s different from the previous editions of the awards show is that doors are now open for martech program and campaign entries on top of the usual digital platforms – entries in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning, Immersive, Blockchain, IoT, Cloud, are now included in the 2022 edition of the Booms.

This year, the Boomerang Awards will also feature special Boomerangs, namely:
The Orange Boomerang – recognizes students from Philippine Colleges and Universities who have produced innovative work in the field of marketing technology over the past two years.
The Purple Boomerang – presented by Investing in Women (IW) – An Initiative of the Australian Government – awarded to the most impactful, brand-led commercial campaign that bravely challenges gender stereotypes by normalizing women’s role in workplaces, men’s role in the home, and equal sharing of caring and economic roles across genders.
The Blue Impact Boomerang – presented by Meta Philippines, this award celebrates the brands and businesses that truly embrace the creative potential of Meta’s foundational products and platforms by not only enhancing their customers’ experience today but by also putting themselves in pole position for the metaverse reality of tomorrow.
The GrabAds Super App Boomerang – presented by GrabAds, awarded to marketing campaigns that take advantage of super app ecosystems in innovative ways to drive brand and business objectives. Entries should have made use of any super app advertising solution, including offline as well as online formats, and should have achieved impact, whether in terms of brand awareness, sales, or other metrics.
Since 2008, the Boomerang Awards have set the standard for the country’s digital marketing practice. This year’s theme, aptly called “Boom!” points towards the pauses and leaps that the industry have witnessed in the past two years of restrictions. What once was thought would be a standstill turned into a big “boom” of innovation and advancements.
