Globe launches GPlan Junior for parent-managed mobile connectivity

TechnologyTelcosGlobe launches GPlan Junior for parent-managed mobile connectivity

Globe has introduced GPlan Junior, a dedicated postpaid line designed for dependents aged 7 to 20. Available as an additional line under an existing Globe Postpaid Plan 999 or higher, the plan allows parents and legal guardians to manage a child’s mobile account while providing connectivity for learning, communication, entertainment, and everyday activities.

The service is intended for families looking to support children’s increasing digital independence without giving up account oversight. By placing the dependent’s line under an adult’s existing postpaid account, Globe aims to make connectivity more predictable and easier to manage.

Calls, data, and selected unlimited apps

GPlan Junior costs PHP499 per month and includes unlimited calls and texts, 100 minutes of landline calls, and 10GB of all-access data. It also comes with free access to Messenger Kids and Mobile Legends, together with unlimited access to three selected apps across video, social, and gaming categories.

Families may choose one app from each category:

  • Video: YouTube Kids, Netflix, Disney+, or Viu
  • Social: Viber or WhatsApp
  • Play: PUBG, Call of Duty, Discord, or Roblox

The plan also includes swappable data and a rollover feature, according to Globe. These options are intended to support common online activities such as messaging, video streaming, gaming, and communication while helping families maintain more predictable monthly spending.

Parent-managed through GlobeOne

Parents can monitor a child’s data use through the GlobeOne app. They can track consumption, view remaining allocations, select unlimited apps, and choose the preferred Data Swap option.

This gives families greater visibility over mobile use while reducing the need for repeated prepaid reloads and close monitoring of expiring promotions. Globe also positions the arrangement as a way to help younger users develop more mindful digital habits under adult supervision.

“As children become more connected, parents are looking for solutions that keep up with their family’s evolving needs,” said Jo Anne Illescas-Pique, senior director for Globe Postpaid.

“GPlan Junior was created to give kids the freedom to stay connected while giving parents greater peace of mind through a simple, reliable postpaid experience. It’s another way Globe is making technology work better for families and helping them stay connected to what matters most,” she added.

GCash Jr. incentive

Eligible GPlan Junior subscribers who successfully register for GCash Jr. may receive up to PHP500 in GCash vouchers. Globe said the incentive is intended to support parents who want to introduce children to digital financial tools and responsible money management in a supervised setting.

Together, GPlan Junior and GCash Jr. are positioned as tools for developing both responsible digital behavior and early financial literacy. Parents can guide how children learn, spend, save, and use digital services while retaining oversight of the account.

Application requirements

Parents or legal guardians may apply at a Globe Store. They must present proof of eligibility, including a copy of the dependent’s PSA birth certificate and a valid identification document, such as a school ID or passport, to verify age and guardianship.

In Summary

GPlan Junior is a PHP499 monthly postpaid add-on for dependents aged 7 to 20 under an existing Globe Postpaid Plan 999 or higher. It includes calls, texts, data, selected unlimited apps, GlobeOne account monitoring, and a potential PHP500 GCash Jr. voucher incentive for eligible subscribers.
