Nikon’s mirrorless cameras now available locally


A few months ago, we reported on Nikon’s much-anticpated mirrorless cameras. Guess what? They’re officially available here.

The Nikon J1 and V1 were unveiled today in the official opening of the Nikon Concept Store located in the Annex at SM North EDSA.  They make up the brand new Nikon 1 line, which also introduces fresh new optics crafted specifically for the new lens mount.

Touted as your “Smart Partner”, some noteworthy features of the J1 and V1 include

– Motion Snapshot (capture still images even while filming Full HD video)
– Smart Photo Selector (shoots 20 hi-res images continously, displays the recommeded “best” shot)
-Continous shooting at 60 frames per second
-73-point hybrid AF

Both systems feature 10.1-MP CMOS sensors,  a 3-inch LCD display, 1080/30p/60i HD video, and can shoot 12-bit RAW files. If you want a complete rundown of specs, go take a glance at our intial story.
