Rising global car brand JAECOO Philippines has announced the arrival of the first batch of its fully-electric SUV JAECOO EJ6.
The fifth market in Southeast Asia to welcome the OMODA and JAECOO brands, the Philippines received its first batch of JAECOO EJ6 units in December 2024, following the model’s local special appearance at the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit last October and the Auto Focus Test Drive Festival last November. The arrival of EJ6 is poised to cement the rising brand’s position as a key player in the sustainable mobility shift in the market. An off-road capable fully-electric SUV, the EJ6 is built with the brand’s unique automotive engineering DNA that challenges the limitations of electric vehicles.
Globally, the JAECOO EJ6 is available in 2WD and 4WD variants. The first batch of EJ6 in the Philippine market, however, is in 4WD variant, which is built with a four-wheel drive mode, dual motors, and a 69.77kWh battery. JAECOO Philippines will announce the price soon.
“The EJ6 is the first EV offering of the JAECOO brand in the market, and bringing it to the Philippines is one of the big steps we’re taking to cement our presence in the country,” said OMODA and JAECOO Motor Philippines Inc. “More than a display of the JAECOO brand’s unique automotive engineering DNA, the arrival of EJ6 represents the bold stride we’re taking in introducing an off-road ready all-electric vehicle in the Philippines. The EJ6 is here to meet demands for advanced, powerful, and sustainable off-road mobility solutions.”
Primed to lead the off-road EV trend, the JAECOO EJ6 carries the brand’s unique global automotive engineering DNA. The model is equipped with a cutting-edge six-in-one motor system and full-time electric power. Thanks to its 80KW fast charging battery, the JAECOO EJ6 takes only 30 minutes to go from 30% to 80%. Its all-aluminum body also significantly reduces the car’s weight, helping it reach a 0-100km/h acceleration time in just 6.5 seconds.
Ahead of OMODA and JAECOO Philippines’ brand launch, interested buyers can send their inquiries about the JAECOO EJ6 via the social media pages of the dealerships in U.N. Avenue, Manila; Sta. Rosa, Laguna; Alabang, Muntinlupa City; Marcos Highway, Pasig City. They may also check the model out at its first dealership store at the G-Mall, Cebu City.
