The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) has launched The JGFP Community, a nationwide initiative that brings together families, alumni, coaches, volunteers, corporate partners, and supporters to help strengthen the future of Philippine junior golf.
Rather than serving as a traditional membership program, The JGFP Community is designed as a long-term engagement platform where individuals and organizations can contribute to athlete development through volunteerism, partnerships, events, and community participation. The initiative reflects JGFP’s belief that developing young golfers requires the collective support of the broader golfing community.
“Every young golfer’s journey begins with someone who chooses to believe in them. Our responsibility at JGFP is not only to develop great athletes, but to build a community that stands beside them every step of the way. The JGFP Community gives every family, alumnus, partner, and supporter the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping the future of Philippine golf,” said Oliver Gan, president of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines.
Building a community around junior golf
Members of The JGFP Community will have access to partner privileges, exclusive member experiences, community events, volunteer opportunities, Foundation updates, and other ways to support JGFP’s programs.
According to the foundation, the initiative recognizes the role that families, coaches, alumni, and corporate partners have played in the growth of Philippine junior golf over the years. By bringing these groups together within a single community, JGFP aims to foster continued collaboration and create more opportunities for young athletes.
The organization also hopes the initiative will transform individual acts of support into a sustained movement that benefits future generations of Filipino golfers.
Partnerships supporting the initiative
The launch of The JGFP Community is supported by SIGMA Ventures, which partnered with JGFP in establishing the initiative.

The initiative was also developed in partnership with Minotaur, JGFP’s strategic marketing and community-building partner, which helped develop the engagement platform.

JGFP said The JGFP Community is intended to become a long-term platform that connects supporters with opportunities to contribute to the development of young Filipino golfers both on and off the course.
