With the integration of Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Hangout, and other Google-branded services into its corporate work structure, Globe hopes that they will be able to facilitate increased productivity, centralized interaction, and seamless in-house data sharing among close to 6,000 Globe employees.

Ernest Cu, President and CEO of Globe, comments that by employing Google Apps to enhance the work structure within their company, there is an indirect positive effect to their customers. “The decision to go Google will change the way we work as the new tools and applications will give our employees greater freedom to connect and collaborate anytime, anywhere, using any device. We believe that a collaborative workforce enhances employee engagement which, in turn, will delight our customers,” Cu explains.

Cu adds, “This collaboration with Google enables us to future-proof our working environment in step with our future-proof network and IT infrastructure.” Globe has recently embarked on a USD 790 million network and IT transformation project.

“Globe is on a journey to transform the way it conducts businesses with technology and Google is very privileged to support them on this journey,” says Ricky Kapur, head of Google Enterprise Asia.

Globe officially opened the doors to The Globe Tower, the company’s new corporate headquarters in Bonifacio Global City, last night. It was announced that in line with their relocation, the Globe team will now push through with efforts to have a paperless work environment. The integration of Google Apps into Globe’s in-house work structure supports this vision, enabling its people to interact and collaborate with minimal paper consumption over an easy-to-use, unified web-based system.
