The in-between season has come to a close, and manufacturers are starting to release new flagship devices to compete for your attention and cash this coming holiday season. Not one to be left behind LG is looking for a piece of the lucrative holiday pie with this bad boy, which you may have seen yesterday on our FB page, if you weren’t distracted by the cronuts sharing the frame:
Yup. It’s the LG G2, and we have our hands on it a few days before the September 25 launch. We’ll have a few hands-on videos, screenshots and camera uploads on Monday, but we just couldn’t resist showing this puppy off. It’s thin, light, and at first glance, the screen is nicer than we’ve seen on a phone before. For those interested, here’s a quick run-down of the specs:
- Dimensions: 5.45 x 2.79 x 0.35
- Weight: 5.45 x 2.79 x 0.35
- Screen: True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touchscreen, 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5.2 inches (~424 ppi pixel density), with Gorilla Glass 3
- Storage and Memory: 16/32 GB, 2 GB RAM (Though we;ve just been informed that it’ll be the 32GB version that will hit our shores.)
- Camera: 13 MP, autofocus, LED flash
- OS: Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean)
- Chipset and Processor: Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800, Quad-core 2.26 GHz Krait 400
- LTE Bands: LTE 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600 / 850
Stay tuned. We’ll be back monday with a much longer update on this device.
