Companies are looking lame with the era of Apple taking over today’s tech world. According to reports, Apple is now the world’s second-most valuable company, following Exxon Mobil Corp. Apple reported a net income of $5.99 billion for the period of January-March alone, almost a double of last year’s figures. A recorded 18.65 million iPhones we’re shipped during the quarter and even iPad tablets are so in demand that the company couldn’t make enough to satisfy the number of demands.

Apple already kicked off Microsoft from its throne as world’s most valuable tech company. Microsoft reported that the income from Windows OS declined for two quarters because fewer people are buying Windows Computers.

Nokia also drops off the Smartphone race losing its users to Apple. It says to slash 7,000 jobs on layoffs and outsourcing.

BlackBerry also said on Thursday that the net income, revenue and unit sales will be lower than of prior forecast.

Apple is still running to be one of the strongest in the tech business and it is foreseen to be on the race for quite some time.
