Alright, we gave you a sneak peek of the new BlackBerry devices when they launched in the US a couple of weeks back, and now the devices are now on our shores. Sort of. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 will be RIM’s flagship device, and is packed with BlackBerry OS 7, 2.8-inch multi-touch display, 1.2 GHz processor, 8 GB of on-board memory and surprisingly, NFC – the same tech that Google is using for its Google Wallet program. The Bold 9900 is also the only device that was announced tonight that has a firm launch date and a price – Oct. 7 and 31,690, respectively.

The two other devices, The Torch 9860 and Curve 9360 currently don’t have a firm release date and price, though RIM promises to have the information for both soon. The Torch 9860 sports the same 1.2 GHz processor as the 9900, has a 3.7-inch, high resolution touch display powered by Liquid Graphics technology, and has 4GB of on-board memory.

Finally, their value-minded device, the Curve 9360, sports a 800MHz processor, 2.4-inch screen and 512MB of on-board memory. All of the new smartphones will be sporting BlackBerry OS 7, which is being touted by the Canadian company as being faster than their previous offerings. The new devices will also strengthen RIM’s positioning locally – RIM says that the Curve 8520 is the no. 1 smartphone in the Philippines from Jan to July, according to research firm GFK, which is a feat we’re sure they’ll be trying their hardest to match with the new devices.

We’ll get comprehensive reviews as soon as we get the devices.
