People may be keeping a lot of their documents, photos, and content inside some electronic device, be it a hard drive, digital photo frame, online album or email folder but when it comes to anything important, valuable and worth “physically” holding onto, Canon may just be a reliable helping hand.

Canon PIXMA continues to dominate the country’s total inkjet printer market as its share grew 38% in the first quarter this year from last year’s 33%, said the International Data Corporation (IDC).

IDC, a research company that specializes in technology companies and markets, said during the period, Canon PIXMA led the single function printer category with 46% market share.

It said Canon PIXMA also got a large share of 32% in the multifunction segment.

“The PIXMA brand continues to have strong following locally owing to its efficient pre-sales and after sales support, fast service turn-around time, reasonable price, exclusive promos, and unmatched prints,” said Jill Santiago, consumer systems products marketing manager of Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc.

Santiago said sales were further pushed by strong marketing efforts, increased number of service centers with 230 nationwide, and improved coverage of provincial areas.

Canon PIXMA iP 2770, MP258, and MX366 were among the top selling products for the quarter.

Canon PIXMA printers are known for their affordability, ease of use, and advanced features. They are equipped with the proprietary FINE technology which allows users to print photos with the highest quality fast.

Further, Canon Genuine Ink used in PIXMA printers comes with the patented Chromalife 100+ technology that ensures every photo printed on Canon PIXMA Printers last for decades.
