A few days ago, we reported the official release of the Huawei MediaPad, the latest tablet to hit our shores. Our review unit just came in, so here it is, at a glance.
If you’re unfamiliar with Huawei, maybe now’s the time to get to know the Chinese ICT provider and electronics company. Their newest offering, the MediaPad, is a 7-inch tablet that has a pretty brilliant IPS LCD. Its powered by Qualcomm’s dual core 1.2GHz processor, and has support for HSPA +/WiFI11n, and full HD 1080P playback. Once we had it out of the box, we were surprisingly amazed with its overall look and build quality, despite its rather generic design, but then again we like that Huawei went for a classic look.
It has a suggested retail price of Php 21,990, which may seem a little steep for some, but our initial encounter with the MediaPad indicates that it may very well be worth every centavo.
