    Lenovo Mobile—led by Business Unit Head of Open Communications John Rojo, Vice President for Worldwide Operations of Lenovo Mobile JD Howard and with a little help from NBA superstar Kobe Bryant via AVP—launched their newest smartphones to hit the market, with the Intel-powered K900 leading the pack.

    The K900, Lenovo’s flagship smartphone is powered by a 2GHz Intel Z2580 chip to ensure speedy performance and runs Android Jelly Bean. Its size and weight are greatly emphasized in its promotion; it is 6.9mm slim and 162g light. The build of the device consists of a combination of stainless steel alloy and polycarbonate. The K900 also boasts of a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 400ppi, protected by Gorilla Glass 2. Additionally, it wields a 13-megapixel rear camera.

    The likewise dual-core and dual-SIM A690, meanwhile, has a fairly large 4-inch screen with a 800×480 resolution and is driven inside by a dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1GHz. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and hosts 512MB RAM and 512MB ROM. The A690 is currently available for PHP 4,699 and is free under Smart Plan 349. Its bigger brother, the A706, runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU.

    Lenovo says that the A690 and A790 will be available in late April or May, while the K900 is expected to be available in June.
