Brace your wallets; Alcatel’s bang for your buck octa-core device, the Flash Plus, will be launching this coming May 15 (Friday) 12:00 noon, exclusively at Lazada.
The Flash Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone equipped with a 64-bit octa-core 1.5GHz processor, Mali-T760 MP2 GPU, and 2GB RAM for performance beyond its price point. It’s fronted by a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with a 1280×720 resolution and 180-degrees viewing angle. Touted as a selfie phone, the Flash Plus arrives with an 8MP front camera with an 84-degree FOV and a 13MP camera using a Sony IMX214 sensor with an f2.2 aperture. It natively runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The icing on the cake is a 3500mAh Li-ion battery that’s actually larger than some flagships today. That doesn’t mean you’d be carrying around a brick, though, as the Flash Plus is a mere 147g light and 7.95mm thin.
The Alcatel Flash Plus will retail for PHP 6,490 and can only be bought online through Lazada. Take note that this will be a consumer launch and not a flash sale, and the online carrier assures its customers that there will be no shortage of stocks come Friday.
