Just recently, OPPO held a massive regional event to showcase the latest in their stable of already impressive mobile devices. The launch, held at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, brought together over 1,500 members of the press from all over the globe, and had more than a few surprises in store for the huge, international crowd.
Before anything else, OPPO did a quick run-through of the thinnest smartphones that had been made available in recent history. The trend was clear: as we developed better, faster, slimmer hardware, the phones available to us scaled accordingly. We weren’t, however, prepared for what they were about to show us: The OPPO R5.
Now the slimmest smartphone in the world, the OPPO R5 packs a solid set of specs in a body that puts its competitors to shame. An Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Processor at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, LTE connectivity, and a powerful 13MP main camera make it easily one of the most desirable smartphones this season. OPPO’s own Android-based ColorOS is the icing on the cake, combining ease-of-use with a beautiful UI.
The second device launched was the innovative N3. The device, which already has an impressive spec sheet featuring a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Chipset, 2GB of RAM, an Adreno 330 GPU, and a 300mAh battery with VOOC charging, has another surprise up its sleeve. A quick swipe from within the camera application swivels the camera around, allowing it to function as both front and rear snapper, with the additional bonus of taking the perfect vertical panorama shot each and every time. It also rund OPPO’s beautiful ColorOS, and supports the company’s ultra-fast VOOC rapid charging technology.
The two OPPO phones will be here in the Philippines in a few short weeks.
