ACMobility, together with Iconic Dealership, Inc. (IDI) through its Isuzu Pasig branch and with support from Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), has donated an Isuzu FVR34 Q Euro-IV truck fitted with an 8,000-liter water tanker to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).
The turnover ceremony was attended by ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, IDI Isuzu brand head Eric Wambangco, IPC president Mikio Tsukui, PRC chairman Richard Gordon, and PRC secretary general Dr. Gwendolyn Pang.
According to the organizations involved, the donation is intended to strengthen disaster preparedness and humanitarian response operations, particularly in areas affected by water shortages during emergencies.
Supporting humanitarian operations
The donated Isuzu FVR34 water tanker will support the Philippine Red Cross’ disaster management operations, particularly in Cebu, where access to clean water can become limited during natural disasters and emergency situations.
The vehicle will be used for water distribution, hygiene promotion, and humanitarian assistance across affected communities.
“These Isuzu trucks are more than the commercial vehicles they started out as — they are mobile lifelines, purpose-built to bring relief and hope,” said Zobel de Ayala.
Built for demanding field operations
Part of Isuzu’s F-Series medium-duty truck lineup, the FVR34 is designed for heavy-duty operations and disaster response applications.
The truck features a reinforced chassis frame and high axle capacity capable of carrying up to 8,000 liters of water across different operating environments.
Powering the vehicle is Isuzu’s Euro IV-compliant 6HK1-TCN Blue Power diesel engine, designed to deliver fuel efficiency, reliability, and reduced emissions during long-term operations.
Designed for reliability and serviceability
The Isuzu FVR34 is engineered with driver comfort and operational convenience in mind. It includes a spacious cab interior, accessible cab height for easier ingress and egress, and simplified engine access for maintenance and inspections.
The vehicle will also be supported by Isuzu Philippines Corporation’s nationwide aftersales and dealer network to help maximize uptime and long-term serviceability.
Strengthening public-private partnerships
Richard Gordon, chairman of the Philippine Red Cross, emphasized the role of partnerships in improving disaster response capabilities.
“Partnerships like this allow us to respond faster and serve more people, especially in areas where water scarcity becomes a serious health risk after disasters,” Gordon said.
Mikio Tsukui, president of Isuzu Philippines Corporation, added that mobility can play a meaningful role during emergency response situations.
“Through this Isuzu FVR Water Tanker, we hope to support PRC’s disaster response efforts and help bring immediate assistance to communities in need,” Tsukui said.
