Last March 23, 2024, the Philippine Junior Marketing Association unveiled a colorful tapestry of marketing advancement with this year’s Juan Big Idea Nationwide, woven with the theme “Weaving Collective Intelligence,” at the Monet Grand Ballroom, Novotel Manila, Araneta City, and livestreamed via EventsHub.
Juan Big Idea, also known as JBI, annually serves as a prestigious national-scale student conference dedicated to the federation’s mission to serve its member schools from each of the farthest regions in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as it hopes that not only students from the National Capital Region (NCR) would benefit from PJMA’s opportunities, but also those from the provinces.
This year, young marketers from all over the country gathered for a homecoming, an edition of JBI established as Juan Big Idea Nationwide celebrating the insights of the new decade, with over 706 onsite attendees and 5,996 virtual attendees.
Focused on 2024’s theme of collective intelligence, JBI features industry leaders who bridge collaboration with artificial intelligence such as ceo Archie Carrasco of AGC Power Holdings Corporation, discussing the importance of organizations aligning goals and values to drive innovation. The coo Orly Ballesteros, CPM-Asia of EX-Link Management and Marketing Services Corporation explores how diverse ideas can lead to new market research opportunities and original concepts. The country director of GreatWork Global, Ms. AJ Rocero, advocates for a caring culture to enhance a team’s diverse skill sets.
As the night approached, the lively event was serenaded with the melodious symphony of fan-favorite, OPM Band, Sugarcane.
Attendees were treated to a variety of career opportunities, enjoying job fair offerings from industry titans like Ellana Mineral Cosmetics, FOPM Property Management, Unilever, FWD Insurance, AGC Power Holdings Corporation, and Virtual Wonders.
PJMA’s vice president for Chapters, Mr. Xyrill Baltazar links the closing remarks, “No matter where you came from, from what region you are, or what language or dialect you speak, we are one because we are a Juan.”
