MANILA, Philippines – Poke Poke, the leading Hawaiian/Asian Fusion fast food restaurant in Metro Manila, opened their third branch at 8 Missouri Street, Northeast Greenhills, San Juan City, on June 14th, 2017.
Poke Poke offers a playful take on Poke, a traditional Hawaiian dish made from marinated cuts of fresh seafood. Co-owners and restaurateurs, Speedy and Alta Lyttle, were first introduced to the dish during a trip abroad. Together with head chef, Kel Zaguirre, the group decided to introduce the diversity and fresh flavors of Poke to the Filipino market.
“At Poke Poke, we strive to serve the freshest tasting ingredients to erase the stigma of healthy food being bland and boring”, shares co-owner Alta Lyttle “We aim to redefine fast food by providing proper nutrition to people on-the-go.”
Poke Poke established itself with its first two branches and developed a dedicated clientele. This inspired the chain to begin their expansion across Metro Manila, starting with the launch of their third branch in Greenhills.
“It’s our first branch outside a mall, so we have yet to see how different the operations will be”, says Alta Lyttle. “Like any business owner, I am very excited.”
In addition, Poke Poke has just broken ground in SM Megamall for its fourth branch in Metro Manila.
“We plan on keeping this year exciting for Poke lovers!” adds Lyttle.
With more branches set to open in the coming months, Poke lovers across the metro will now be able to get their regular fix. This move will also allow casual diners the chance to explore the tastes of Poke Poke’s fresh, healthy, and uniquely diverse take on conventional fast food.
