Star Telecom Alliance Resources, Inc. (STAR, Inc.), the official distributor of TP-LINK network products in the Philippines, through its sister company First Telecom, the retail distribution arm of the TCI Group of Companies, teamed up with PLDT Home to provide Filipinos with the first mesh Wi-Fi system through their WHOLE HOME WIFI Plan offer. PLDT Home’s Whole Home Wifi plan includes 50mbps of Fibr Broadband connection & three TP-Link Deco M5 devices. They work together to eliminate dead spots in all corners of every room giving subscribers strong and full internet coverage at home.

Compared to traditional extenders that broadens Wi-Fi signal and expands Wi-Fi range,TP-Link’s Deco M5 has smart adaptive routing technology enables users to experience strong connectivity by identifying the optimal path a data packet must follow to connect to network.

The Deco M5 is a complete Wi-Fi system which uses three or more bands that act like routers that users can place at different places at home to deliver seamless internet connection in up to 1,500 square feet.

“PLDT only partners with trusted and reputable technology providers who share with us the same vision of making good quality products and offers available to more families including TP-Link’s Deco M5 which enables PLDT Home’s Whole-Home WiFi solution,” said PLDT SVP and Head of Consumer Business Market Development Oscar Enrico Reyes, Jr. “Our partners from STAR, Inc. and First Telecom also provide the needed local support further enhancing our capabilities to provide the best solutions for our customers.”

“STAR, Inc. and First Tel are proud to partner with PLDT Home in providing the first local whole home Wi-Fi system.” said Michael Chen, President of STAR, Inc. “It’s an efficient and innovative technology and we’re excited to be the first to share it in the local market.”

STAR, Inc. is committed to making technology inclusive to all Filipinos. Earlier this year, the company rolled-out StarCart ‘Kiosk-on-Wheels’, a demo and point-of-sale booth, to make affordable and quality devices from Starmobile, JUMPU, Starcube, and TP-Link more accessible to the public.
