5 +1 ways the Ford Everest celebrates women

MobilityCars5 +1 ways the Ford Everest celebrates women

As a mid-size 7-seater SUV, the Ford Everest may seem more like a “guy” car, capable of toughing it out with other biggies on the road. After taking the Next-Gen Everest Titanium 2.0L 4×2 on a recent self-care getaway, I am convinced that despite its tough, no-compromise demeanor, this is a car that understands women.

    Here’s why:

    1. GIRL POWER!

Having 170ps of power and 405Nm of torque on tap from the 2.0L turbo-diesel engine is such a joy on the freeway. The engine hums along at speed with nary a stutter. Even on steep inclines and rolling terrain, the Ford Everest is confidence inspiring. The 6-speed automatic transmission is smooth, albeit occasionally laggy in low gear.

    2. HEAD-TURNING GOOD LOOKS

Yes, the Ford Everest is designed to evoke the outdoors and a sense of adventure, but its commanding good looks are also the perfect foil for any girl’s OOTD. The Sedona Orange color that’s exclusive to the Titanium variant is particularly striking. The chrome front grille, LED lights all around, roof rails and rear spoiler, and a panoramic moonroof all add touches of bling. 20-inch chrome alloy wheels fitted with 255/55 R20 tires complete the package.

    3. CARING AND THOUGHTFUL CONVENIENCES

It’s the little things that count, and there are so many small details in the Everest that just let you know that you’re cared for. For instance, sidesteps so you can gracefully step into the driver’s seat which is 8-way power-adjustable so you’re comfortably ensconced behind the wheel. The temperature control is an automatic dual-zone electronic system so you choose the setting that feels just right. Rear passengers also have access to a 2ndrow overhead air control, ensuring their comfort.

Carrying too many shopping bags? The hands-free liftgate opens by itself so you can drop everything directly into the cargo hold. Caught in an unexpected thunderstorm? Rain-sensing wipers turn on as needed. Tight parking spaces? The side mirrors fold up automatically.

These are just some of the seemingly inconsequential touches that we might hardly notice, but are manifestations of the thoughtful caring one enjoys with the Everest.

    4. TECHIE LOVE

The Ford Everest has an honest-to-goodness tablet mounted on the center of the dashboard! This 12-inch colored portrait touchscreen, when paired with Wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto allows you to use apps like Waze and Spotify, while also enabling handsfree phone calls. The phone holder just below the center console controls functions as a wireless charger, keeping your battery juiced up.

In addition, there are 4 USB ports for other devices plus 12V sockets in the front center console as well as the third row and cargo area. And there’s even a 230V inverter in the rear center console in case you need to power up your laptop.

Complementing the tablet-type infotainment display is an 8-speaker audio system for top-tier listening enjoyment.

    5. SAFE SANCTUARY

All the safety features packed into the Ford Everest certainly make a girl feel protected, shielding you from all sorts of road hazards. Let’s run through the list: 7 airbags, antilock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, electronic stability program with traction control, hill launch assist, rollover mitigation, front/rear ventilated disc brakes, electronic parking brake, security alarm system, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera, adjustable speed limiter, among others.

So, is the Ford Everest a masculine car? For sure, yes. But it’s also very much a car that understands and cares for women.

    +1: FORDPASS

An added bonus to the Next-Gen Ford Everest is the FordPass, an app that lets you remotely control certain vehicle functions from your phone. First, you need to create an account by registering the vehicle —easily done by scanning the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) through the windshield. Once registration is complete, you get access to features like being able to remotely lock/unlock doors, and even start/stop the engine from anywhere. There’s a useful vehicle locator in case you didn’t take note of your parking spot. Finally, a vehicle status monitor shows your odometer reading and lets you know if you need to fuel up.
