GAC Philippines has officially launched three new multi-purpose vehicles in the country: the All-New GAC GN6, GAC E8 HEV, and GAC GN8 PHEV Executive.

Together, the three models form the new GAC MPV Family, a lineup designed to address different mobility needs. The GN6 focuses on practical family transportation, the E8 HEV combines hybrid efficiency with premium comfort, while the GN8 PHEV Executive is aimed at executive transport and luxury family travel. According to GAC, the lineup is built around three core principles: flexible space, thoughtful engineering, and dependable performance.

“The official launch of the GAC MPV Family marks an important milestone in the continued growth of GAC Philippines,” said Calvin Cheng, general manager of GAC Philippines. “With three distinct models, we are bringing Filipino customers a complete MPV lineup that can serve their changing needs, from flexible daily transit to premium travel and executive mobility.”

All-New GAC GN6: Practical versatility

Positioned as the entry point to the lineup, the All-New GAC GN6 is designed for buyers seeking a versatile seven-seat vehicle that balances passenger comfort with cargo flexibility. It is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, producing 176.7PS and 270Nm of torque.

The GN6 measures 4,792mm long, 1,837mm wide, and 1,750mm high on a 2,810mm wheelbase. Inside, a 190mm center aisle makes it easier to move between the front and third rows, while luggage space starts at 324 liters and expands to 1,100 liters when the third-row seats are folded flat.

The cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-zone automatic climate control with rear controls. Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree panoramic camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Automatic Emergency Braking.

GAC E8 HEV: Hybrid efficiency meets premium comfort

Occupying the middle of the lineup, the GAC E8 HEV combines electrified performance with a more refined passenger experience. Its hybrid system pairs a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 140PS and 180Nm with an electric motor rated at 182PS and 300Nm, working through a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.

According to GAC, the E8 HEV offers a combined driving range of more than 1,000 kilometers from its 60-liter fuel tank, while achieving a WLTC fuel consumption rating of 5.58L/100km.

Built on a 2,930mm wheelbase, the MPV features a low 375mm step-in height for easier access. Inside, it offers up to 18 seating configurations, with second-row Zero Gravity seats that include power leg rests, ventilation, massage functions, and adjustable recline. The third-row Magic Storage seats fold flat into the floor or can be configured into Tea Break Mode for additional flexibility.

Cargo capacity ranges from 345 liters to 1,917 liters, while premium equipment includes acoustic laminated glass, dual sunroofs, wireless phone charging, power-sliding doors, a 14.6-inch touchscreen, an eight-speaker sound system, Traffic Jam Assist, and Integrated Cruise Assist.

GAC GN8 PHEV Executive: Flagship luxury

Sitting at the top of the lineup, the GAC GN8 PHEV Executive is designed for executive mobility and premium family travel. Measuring 5,247mm in length with a 3,070mm wheelbase, it combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle engine with a permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor to produce a combined 373hp and 630Nm of torque.

Its 25.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery delivers an electric driving range of up to 120 kilometers under the NEDC standard, while total combined range reaches approximately 1,038 kilometers. DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in around 45 minutes, making it practical for both daily commuting and longer trips.

Passenger comfort is a major focus of the GN8 PHEV Executive. The cabin features Zero Breeze Air Conditioning with more than 1,600 micro-vents, hidden six-directional seat vibration dampers, and second-row captain’s chairs equipped with four-way power leg rests, heating, ventilation, massage functions, memory settings, and fold-out tray tables. Additional amenities include a 16-speaker audio system, soundproof glass for the first and second rows, a streaming-video rearview mirror, tri-zone automatic climate control, PM2.5 air filtration, a fragrance system, a panoramic starlight roof, and dual power-sliding doors.

“An MPV must do more than provide additional seating. It must be engineered around the people who use it, taking into account their comfort, safety, changing needs, and the many different journeys they take,” said Masato Katsumata, chief technology officer of GAC International.
