Geely Philippines marks a milestone despite the current COVID pandemic with the Geely Coolray emerging as the top-selling 5-seater sub-compact crossover in the country this June with 154 units sold. Geely itself sits at the 10th spot with a combined 184 units sold of the Coolray and the recently launched Azkarra. This brings Geely’s 1H 2020 sales up to a total of 549 units.
Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) president & CEO Mikihisa Takayama said, “this is definitely a very positive development as every auto brand try to bounce back during this post-ECQ period. We are very delighted
of this outcome since it is mainly driven by one model, the Coolray and only one showroom located in North Edsa.”
“We expect Geely sales to improve further as we open new dealership outlets and further complement our product line up this year.”, Takayama added. SGAP sales performance of 184 units represents a 160% jump from its 70 units sales record in May.
