Green GSM has signed a series of agreements with 75 transport companies and cooperatives in the Philippines to support the planned deployment of up to 18,497 VinFast electric vehicles nationwide.

The agreements form part of Green GSM’s broader Southeast Asian expansion strategy, combining its electric mobility platform and operating standards with local transport operators and deployment partners.

The planned rollout covers several major urban centers, including Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Cavite, Pampanga, Bacolod, Batangas, Baguio, and Ozamiz.

Expanding electric mobility operations

Under the partnership plan, the participating companies and cooperatives are expected to deploy a combined fleet of up to 18,497 VinFast electric vehicles through direct investment and long-term leasing arrangements.

The rollout will include VinFast VF 5, Herio Green, and Limo Green models designed for ride-hailing and passenger transport operations.

According to Green GSM, the initiative builds on its earlier collaboration with Xentro Group, which involved an initial deployment of 2,500 vehicles in the Philippines.

A partnership-led expansion strategy

Green GSM said its operating model combines centralized service standards with locally managed fleet operations and driver networks.

The company noted that the structure is designed to support scalable deployment while remaining adaptable to local market conditions and transport ecosystems.

By leveraging existing transport cooperatives and operator networks, Green GSM aims to accelerate electric mobility adoption while maintaining operational consistency across different markets.

Transport groups see long-term growth potential

Several transport and mobility executives highlighted the role of electric mobility in reshaping urban transport across Southeast Asia.

Gio Colmenares, CEO of Asia Prime Force Corporation, described the partnership as part of a broader shift toward more sustainable and scalable transport systems.

Dave Baldoza, managing director of Green EV Transport Corp and Green Fast Corporation, said the initiative creates a pathway for transport cooperatives to modernize their fleets while maintaining operational stability.

Rachel Ann Villanueva, chairwoman of Green Will Corporation, added that coordinated investments in vehicles, infrastructure, and operations will be critical to scaling the adoption of electric mobility across emerging urban markets.

Operations expected to begin in phases

Following the signing of the agreements, Green GSM and its partners are expected to finalize vehicle orders and begin phased deployment operations throughout 2026.

The company said the expansion reinforces ongoing efforts to accelerate the electrification of urban transport networks in the Philippines and encourages broader participation by transport companies and cooperatives in the country’s evolving mobility sector.
