Isuzu Philippines Corporation closed 2015 strong with a total 22,581 units sold from January to December, a 59.7-percent improvement over 2014’s 14,134 unit performance. Month-on-month, IPC also achieved a 59-percent surge in December 2015 at 2,365 versus the 1,490 of December 2014.

Leading the pack was the flagship Isuzu mu-X SUV which moved 10,900 units during the 12 month stint. This is a 432-percent growth versus the 1,490 units sold during the same period in the previous year. For the sole month of December last year, the mu-X also managed a 170-percent YOY growth to 1,357 units.

Further moving IPC sales were its truck models. It sold 2,920 of its Category III light-duty trucks, a 24-percent boost YOY from 2,358; 1,269 of its Category IV medium-duty trucks, a 36-percent growth; and 280 of its Category V heavy-duty trucks, a 200-percent upswing.

The strong performance from most of the roster was able to soften the decline from the Crosswind AUV and D-MAX pick-up models. From 4,908 units in 2014, the Crosswind endured a 17-percent decline to 4,096 units, while the D-MAX went from 3,803 units in 2014 to 3,116 units last year.

IPC president Hajime Koso thanked the company’s Filipino patrons, saying “Rest assured that we will continue to be Filipinos reliable partner in business and leisure,” he said.

Koso also added that Filipinos should expect new things from Isuzu as the year rolls on. He commented, “As our way of showing how much we value our stay in Philippine shores, we would continue to bring out the best.”
