At the Makina Moto Expo, Honda Philippines, Inc. unveiled three new motorcycles that reflect the brand’s evolving approach to mobility. Spanning electric, performance, and adventure segments, the lineup highlights how Honda continues to balance innovation with everyday usability for Filipino riders.

Urban Electric Mobility: Honda WN7

Leading the launches is the WN7, Honda’s entry into full-size electric motorcycles designed for city use. Built around efficiency and responsive performance, it delivers 18kW rated power and up to 50kW peak output, paired with 100Nm of torque for immediate acceleration.

The WN7 accelerates from 0 to 50 meters in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 129km/h and a range of up to 144.1 kilometers, making it viable for both daily commuting and extended urban rides. Charging is designed for flexibility, with a full charge taking approximately 2.5 hours, while fast charging from 20% to 80% can be completed in about 30 minutes.

The model integrates modern rider-focused features such as the Honda Smart Key System, Honda RoadSync connectivity, and a 5-inch TFT display. Additional functions like selectable riding modes, speed limit assist, and low-speed forward and reverse assist enhance maneuverability in tight urban spaces.

Performance Roadster: Honda CB650R

For riders seeking a more dynamic experience, the CB650R continues Honda’s Neo Sports Café design direction, combining minimalist styling with performance-oriented engineering.

At its core is a high-revving inline-four engine, delivering smooth and consistent power across the rev range. A key highlight is Honda’s E-Clutch system, which allows riders to start, stop, and shift gears without using the clutch lever, simplifying operation while maintaining engagement.

The CB650R also features Honda RoadSync connectivity and a 5-inch full-color TFT display with optical bonding, improving visibility and reducing glare. It is offered in multiple finishes, including Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Grand Prix Red, and Matte Jeans Blue Metallic depending on the variant.

The CB650R is priced at PHP 25,000 for the Standard variant and PHP565,000 for the E-Clutch variant.

Adventure Versatility: Honda NX500

Completing the trio is the NX500, an adventure motorcycle designed for riders who want flexibility beyond city roads. With its lightweight construction and balanced handling, it is built to transition between urban environments and more rugged terrain.

The NX500 is also equipped with Honda’s E-Clutch system, along with a 5-inch TFT display and Honda RoadSync connectivity, allowing seamless integration with smartphones for navigation and control.

Available in Pearl Horizon Black and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, the NX500 is priced at PHP419,000, positioning it as an accessible option for riders entering the adventure segment.

A Balanced Approach to Modern Motorcycling

Honda’s latest launches reflect a broader strategy that does not rely on a single direction. While the WN7 signals a growing push into electric mobility, models like the CB650R and NX500 reinforce the continued relevance of internal combustion motorcycles in the Philippine market.

By offering a mix of electrified and conventional platforms, Honda provides riders with multiple pathways based on their needs, whether focused on efficiency, performance, or versatility.

As motorcycle technology continues to evolve, the brand’s latest lineup highlights a key theme: progress is not about replacing one solution with another, but about expanding the choices available to riders.
