    Honda Philippines, Inc. last October 29 held the Visayas Leg of the Honda Riders’ Convention last at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. The event was attended by 25 clubs, with a total of 1,429 riders coming in from Cebu, Bacolod, Dumaguete, and other parts of the region. Supporting the convention were Honda dealers in Visayas, including Du Ek Sam, Silver Wing, PCI, UMN, Vismotor, Motorista, Ever Green, and RMC.

    Besides being a platform for the unveiling of the new colors of the Zoomer-X, RS 150R, and the XRM 125 DSX Special Edition, HPI president Daiki Mihara also took it as an opportunity to announce the upcoming first-ever Honda flagship shop in Cebu. The store is set to offer sales, services, and spare parts, as well as a coffee shop and driving course where riders can get a hands-on experience with all available Honda motorcycles.

    Additionally, Mihara and HPI assistant vice president for customer service operations Tomoaki Watanabe acknowledge the performance of Honda rider Koko Tadachi during the Honda Asia Dream Cup of the Asia Road Racing Championship held last August in Indonesia. Tadachi came home with the tournament bronze.

    Furthermore, Jayson Copioco, HPI unit head engineer for the Visayas, also discussed their PGM-Fi awareness campaign highlighting the system’s history and advantages.
