Yamaha Motor Philippines has launched the all-new Aerox and Aerox SP. These high-performance evolutions of Yamaha’s iconic AT feature bold design updates, rider-focused innovation, and new track-inspired features. The Aerox SP delivers a ride that’s both thrilling and intelligent. Paired with the refined standard edition, it offers two dynamic options for riders seeking everyday usability with unmistakable supersport energy.
At the core of both models lies Yamaha’s latest-generation 155cc Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), designed for efficient, high-revving performance across varying speeds. In the Aerox SP, the experience is elevated even further through Yamaha Electric CVT (Y-ECVT) technology, offering refined throttle control and a heightened sense of acceleration. The Aerox SP also introduces 3-level Downshift Control, allowing riders to tailor deceleration for more precise handling. Selectable Sport and Touring Modes adapt power delivery for either dynamic sprints or relaxed urban rides.
A standout feature of the Aerox SP as well is its full-color 4.2-inch TFT display. Designed for both style and function, the screen adapts to different scenarios such as lap tracking and commute data, and features animated RPM waveforms that add energy to the dash. Riders can also enjoy integrated turn-by-turn navigation through Google Maps, enabled via Yamaha’s Y-Connect app. This smartphone connectivity also delivers real-time stats, including fuel consumption, engine diagnostics, maintenance reminders, and even the last parked location.
The Aerox SP’s front end is equipped with a single-channel ABS for additional braking confidence. Features like the Smart Key system and Yamaha’s Stop & Start System provide everyday convenience with premium appeal. The Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) and Traction Control System (TCS) round out the ride-enhancing tech built into the Aerox SP.
Both Aerox models share core innovations that blend performance with efficiency. A larger 30mm inner front fork tube, superwide tubeless tires, Handlebar switch control, new rear disc brake, 5.5-liter fuel tank, and 24.5 liters of underseat storage allow riders to go further. A built-in USB-C socket keeps devices charged on the move. The redesigned cockpit, inspired by Yamaha’s R-Series, places the rider at the center of a more aggressive, supersport-influenced experience.
The standard edition of the Aerox carries over much of the same DNA, retaining the same refined 155cc VVA engine and sporty visual identity. It provides a well-balanced ride for urban commuters and everyday explorers who demand sharp design and reliable performance, without compromising on comfort or style.
