Suzuki Philippines Inc. posted a 14 percent sales growth in the first half of 2019. The growth also pushed the company to sixth place in the local automobile industry ranking, and fifth in the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturer of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) ranking.
“We started the year on the right foot and strengthened our efforts in Q2 to reach more Filipino customers. Our aggressive and strategic marketing campaigns are key in pushing up our position both in the Philippine automobile industry and CAMPI rankings. These achievements reflect the Filipinos’ growing trust in our brand and the quality Suzuki cars that we provide. We are more driven now more than ever to bring only quality driving experience in every Suzuki ride,” said Keiichi Suzuki, Director and General Manager for Automobile Division, Suzuki Philippines Inc.
Suzuki Ertiga, Swift, and Celerio are the top contributors to Suzuki’s success in the first half of the year. The three models along with the Dzire and Vitara collectively contributed 77 percent of the total sales for the first half of the year.
The 7-seater Ertiga is the top earner with 34 percent of the total shares. The trusty hatchback the Swift is the second-highest earner with 13 percent while the small compact hatch Celerio is the highest with 11 percent sales contribution.
Following their success in the first half of 2019, Suzuki will continue to target their current market with more test drive and product displays reinforced by active campaigns and promotions.
