    Yamaha Philippines celebrated the 64th founding anniversary of the Brand with the opening of their new distribution center, touring guests around the factory, and staging a concert for employees.

    As part of the grand event, Yamaha Philippines flew dealers and employees nationwide to be part of the celebrations. This included 64 members of different Yamaha Clubs who are also celebrating their birthdays in July.

    Starting in the morning, Yamaha toured its guests throughout their LIMA Technology Center factory in Malvar, Batangas. Guests from the media, as well as dealers and YClub members had a chance to see how Yamaha builds their motorcycles in the country.

    After the tour, Yamaha Philippines Inc. President Hiroshi Koike led the opening of Yamaha’s brand new distribution center within the plant. The new distribution center is 20,000 sq.m. large, and can house 10,000 motorcycles at any given time.

    Displays of various Yamaha products reside inside of the new distribution building, from its motorcycles to the various instruments from their music line, and to the various power generators and marine motors the company has in its portfolio.

    Displays of Yamaha’s recreational all-terrain vehicle line ROV were also visible for guests to admire. According to Yamaha’s marketing team, the company is currently studying the market for recreational vehicles in the country before including the ROV line in their lineup of vehicles in the country.

    As part of the activities, Yamaha also the assembly of a giant cupcake mosaic that was put together by everyone in the company. This perfectly symbolized Yamaha’s success that has been built upon the hard work of its every employee.

    Guests and employees alike were able to stop by a test-drive course featuring Yamaha’s current line-up of motorcycles, including their big bikes like the MT series, and the R series.

    In the evening, Yamaha held a concert inside its distribution center for employees and guests. Headlining the concert were TJ Monterde, Matteo Guidicelli, and Spongecola. Asia’s Next Top Model season five winner Maureen Wroblewitz also made an appearance. Employees also had a chance to meet the guest via a quick meet and greet session organized by the company.

    As part of the festivities, the company also held a raffle among its employees for a brand new motorcycle.

    “Yamaha Day is an event we started a couple of years ago as a collaboration with Yamaha Music sharing the same brand; Not only celebrating Yamaha’s birthday but also familiarizing you with the history of Yamaha. As the presentation said, we were among the last entrants to the motorcycle market, but not only we did survive but now we do business in over 180 countries around the world,” said Koike addressing guests before the concert.

     

    “What brought us here can be explained by five keywords that we built in Yamaha. The first one is innovation. What we try to do is create kando always try to exceed customer expectations. The second one is excitement we want people to enjoy. Confidence, as a Japanese manufacturer we always try to offer world-class quality. Emotions, we want our customers to not just buy our products we want them to show off our products and be proud to own a Yamaha. And last but not least ties, we want to connect with customers, dealers, and community because we want to offer a lifestyle. These five things that got us here today, and I hope that in celebrating Yamaha day we look back to what got us here today and try to make it better so we can be stronger.
