    Test Drive: BYD Seal 5

BYD Philippines provided us with a week-long test drive of the new Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic, allowing us to experience its performance in heavy city traffic across Mandaluyong, Makati, and Ortigas. After five days behind the wheel, I came away with the impression that BYD’s latest offering could very well set a new benchmark in the subcompact sedan segment.

    Design: 4/5

    Seal 5

The Seal 5’s design seamlessly integrates into BYD’s Ocean series, which is tailored to appeal to younger customers through its use of oceanic-inspired elements like waves and flowing lines. These design cues are consistent across other models in the series, such as the Dolphin and Sea Lion 6. The Seal 5 boasts an aerodynamic profile, a sporty silhouette, and futuristic front and rear lighting that give it a modern, dynamic look.

While the overall design is stylish, the front grille feels somewhat uninspired, resembling a mash-up of chrome lines. However, this is offset by the rear, which exudes a striking resemblance to the iconic aesthetics of European sports cars. At night, the car’s side panels enhance its simple yet elegant design, making it appear larger and more premium than it actually is. Although I tested the base model, it felt more luxurious than many non-hybrid competitors which, frankly, pale in comparison given the recent surge in visually appealing hybrids.

    Equipment: 4/5

The BYD Seal 5 DM-i Dynamic is powered by a 1.5-liter high-efficiency engine that acts as a generator for the battery, delivering a driving experience closer to that of an electric vehicle (EV) than a traditional hybrid. It comes equipped with a massive 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. While the upholstery feels somewhat tacky for a car in the sub-PHP1M price range, the overall interior exudes an upscale vibe.

The Seal 5’s advanced safety features, including the DiPilot intelligent system with regular cruise control and a backup camera, are on par with others in its class. Still, the inclusion of a 360º camera and adaptive cruise control in the base variant would have made it a standout.

One of the car’s biggest strengths is its dual-mode capability, which allows it to run in pure EV or hybrid modes. It can be charged using standard charging stations or traditional petrol. A full charge takes just three hours and provides a range of up to 100 km.

Given the limited tech offerings of its competitors at this price point, the Seal 5’s base model holds its own against even higher-tier variants of other brands.

    User Experience: 4/5

The Seal 5 delivers a turbo-like pull without the lag. A light press on the accelerator instantly translates to a surge of power, pinning you to your seat. This car feels almost out of place in the city, especially in Manila’s notorious traffic. While I didn’t have the chance to take it out on the highway, its 179-horsepower and 316Nm of torque suggest it would handle long drives with ease.

That said, I encountered a few minor issues. Reversing felt jerky compared to what I’m used to, which took some adjustment on the first day. Fortunately, by the next day, I had adapted to the car’s driving dynamics.

The interior is predictably filled with hard plastics, typical for this category. However, the sound system, complemented by the car’s impressively low noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels, more than makes up for the lackluster materials.

Fuel efficiency is where the Seal 5 truly shines. During my five-day test drive in heavy EDSA and Makati traffic, I averaged 13km/L — a stark contrast to my diesel SUV, which manages only 6km/L on the same route. The Seal 5 is so efficient that I didn’t even need to recharge, using only about an eighth of the gas in the tank.

    Value: 5/5

Priced at PHP948,000, the Seal 5 is a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers. Its hybrid benefits, such as exemption from coding days and exceptional fuel efficiency in city traffic, check the two most important boxes for urban drivers.

For those seeking additional features like a 360º camera, power seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, two extra speakers, and a 10% boost in horsepower, the higher-tier BYD Seal 5 Premium is available at PHP1,198,000. Even at this price, it remains significantly more affordable than many competitors in the same category.

    Bottom Line

The BYD Seal 5 Dynamic is a highly capable car poised to shake up the subcompact sedan segment. With its unbeatable value, practicality, and efficiency, it’s an all-around excellent choice, especially for first-time hybrid buyers. Whether you’re navigating city streets or cruising on the highway, the Seal 5 proves itself as a versatile and economical option.

Kaspersky discovers sophisticated Chrome zero-day exploit used in active attacks

Kaspersky has identified and helped patch a sophisticated zero-day vulnerability in Google Chrome (CVE-2025-2783) that allowed attackers to bypass the browser’s sandbox protection system. The exploit, discovered by Kaspersky’s Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT), required no user interaction beyond clicking a malicious link and demonstrated exceptional technical complexity. Kaspersky researchers have been acknowledged by Google for discovering and reporting this vulnerability.

In mid-March 2025, Kaspersky detected a wave of infections triggered when users clicked personalized phishing links delivered via email. After clicking, no additional action was needed to compromise their systems. Once Kaspersky’s analysis confirmed that the exploit leveraged a previously unknown vulnerability in the latest version of Google Chrome, Kaspersky swiftly alerted Google’s security team. A security patch for the vulnerability was released on March 25, 2025.

Kaspersky researchers dubbed the campaign “Operation ForumTroll”, as attackers sent personalized phishing emails inviting recipients to the “Primakov Readings” forum. These lures targeted media outlets, educational institutions, and government organizations in Russia. The malicious links were extremely short-lived to evade detection, and in most cases ultimately redirected to the legitimate website for “Primakov Readings” once the exploit was taken down.

The zero-day vulnerability in Chrome was only part of a chain that included at least two exploits: a still-unobtained remote code execution (RCE) exploit that apparently launched the attack, while the sandbox escape discovered by Kaspersky constituted the second stage. Analysis of the malware’s functionality suggests the operation was designed primarily for espionage. All evidence points to an Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) group.

“This vulnerability stands out among the dozens of zero-days we’ve discovered over the years,” said Boris Larin, principal security researcher at Kaspersky GReAT. “The exploit bypassed Chrome’s sandbox protection without performing any obviously malicious operations – it’s as if the security boundary simply didn’t exist. The technical sophistication displayed here indicates development by highly skilled actors with substantial resources. We strongly advise all users to update their Google Chrome and any Chromium-based browser to the latest version to protect against this vulnerability.”

Google has credited Kaspersky for uncovering and reporting the issue, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to collaboration with the global cybersecurity community and ensuring user safety.

Kaspersky continues to investigate Operation ForumTroll. Further details, including a technical analysis of the exploits and malicious payload, will be released in a forthcoming report once Google Chrome user security is assured. Meanwhile, all Kaspersky products detect and protect against this exploit chain and associated malware, ensuring users are shielded from the threat.

Kaspersky Next EDR Expert, a core component of the comprehensive Kaspersky Next XDR (Extended Detection and Response) Expert platform, played a crucial role in detecting a wave of infections caused by previously unknown, highly sophisticated malware. Our exploit detection and protection technologies swiftly identified a zero-day exploit before it became publicly known, enabling us to thoroughly analyze its behavior and impact.

This discovery follows Kaspersky GReAT’s previous identification of another Chrome zero-day (CVE-2024-4947), which was exploited last year by the Lazarus APT group in a cryptocurrency theft campaign. In that case, Kaspersky researchers found a type confusion bug in Google’s V8 JavaScript engine that enabled attackers to bypass security features through a fake cryptogame website.

To safeguard against sophisticated attacks like these, Kaspersky security experts recommend implementing these key protective measures:

    • Ensure timely software updates: Regularly patch your operating system and browsers—especially Google Chrome—so attackers cannot exploit newly discovered vulnerabilities.
    • Adopt a multi-layered security approach: Along with endpoint protection, consider solutions like Kaspersky Next XDR Expert that leverage AI/ML to correlate data from multiple sources and automate detection and response against advanced threats and APT campaigns.
    • Leverage threat intelligence services: Up-to-date, contextual information—such as Kaspersky Threat Intelligence—helps you stay informed about emerging zero-day exploits and the latest attacker techniques.

Here’s how Filipinas are being protected online and offline

The latest available data from the Foundation for Media Alternatives  show women are disproportionately targeted in online gender-based violence in the Philippines, with 22.2% of reported cases in 2023 involving threats, blackmail, and abuse. During a Women’s Month event, DICT, Google, BSP, PNP, and NPC outlined their efforts to combat this.

Here are the four major efforts on how women are being protected online and offline:

Promoting digital literacy, especially against cyber fraud

With the unfortunate prevalence of online fraud and scams, the Bangko Sentral continues to educate Filipinos, especially women who may be vulnerable due to economic factors. In 2023, phishing accounted for nearly 59% of social engineering scams.

“The BSP Cyber Surveillance Report reveals that social engineering schemes remain among the top 10 methods of fraud in the Philippines. We have heard these terms continually in the past years, but our awareness campaigns and online literacy are still not enough for everyone to really know if they’re already being victimized,” said Atty. Antoni Pauline Pascual of the BSP.

Raising awareness for safe spaces online

The National Privacy Commission is committed to fostering safe spaces for women everywhere by empowering them to report gender-based harassment — which may be hard for people to do due to various psychological factors. Through the Safe Spaces Act, online spaces are now protected, and harassment and violations against women in these areas can be penalized.

“If your safety or sexuality was violated, sometimes you’re scared to report it. We want, through this campaign, for people to be more empowered, for them to be able to have a safe place to report it,” said Atty. Izelle Deloso of the NPC.

Protecting women against violence, trafficking, and harassment

With over 8,000 cases of violence against women and children reported in 2024 and hundreds of cases of trafficking, the Philippine National Police works tirelessly to protect women and go after perpetrators of these heinous crimes. The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group handles internet-based VAWC cases through the Women and Children Cybercrime Protection Unit.

“You can approach us, send us a message through social media, and we assure you that anything you confide with us will be treated with confidentiality. We foster cooperation and close coordination with various law enforcement agencies both local and international to apprehend offenders,” said Lt. Col. Herlyn P. Lazaro of the PNP-ACG.

Using AI to combat harmful content and connect women to emergency hotlines

Google is using the power of its products like Google Search to connect women to vital resources online including emergency hotlines. With a simple search, women can instantly access the NCMH Crisis Hotline, providing immediate support without the need to navigate multiple websites or links.

Google is leveraging AI to analyze content on YouTube, Google Workspace, ads, Play Store, and any of their products with social interaction features, recognizing patterns and indicators present in harmful language and repeat offenders. From there, AI can provide real-time warnings on potentially abusive writing, quickly and automatically remove such content on these platforms, and streamline the reporting process for those affected.

“Google is actively protecting women online through AI and security technologies. We employ a holistic safety strategy, combining platform tools, digital literacy programs, and partnerships to combat harassment and misinformation,” said Audrey Turay-Magdato, Google Cloud Security country lead for Google Philippines.

In addition to AI-powered moderation tools and enhanced privacy controls, Google also upskills and prepares women for careers in cybersecurity through initiatives such as the Google Cybersecurity Career Certificate.

With all these efforts and initiatives to protect women, especially on the internet, Google and these organizations hope to curb the incidents of violence and harassment and to promote a safer, more welcoming digital environment for all.

“The safety and security of women online is so important. The government remains steadfast in its commitment to robust cybersecurity measures, and we deeply appreciate Google’s partnership in this vital endeavor. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration and expanding our reach to ensure a safer digital future for more Filipinos,” said Undersecretary for Cybersecurity Jeffrey Ian Dy, Department of Information and Communications Technology.

Nearly 44% of security incidents involved a web browser — Palo Alto Networks

Palo Alto Networks, the global cybersecurity leader, has released the 2025 Unit 42 Global Incident Response Report, which found that threat actors are now evolving their tactics, moving beyond traditional ransomware and data theft to focus on business disruption, AI-assisted attacks, and insider threats. According to the report, almost half of the security incidents (44%) involved a web browser.

In the Philippines, industry players are taking a more proactive approach to building a security framework for digital resilience. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reports that government agencies, academic institutions, and telecommunications companies remain prime targets for cyber criminals, with 10% of attacks targeted at the banking and healthcare sectors.

Recognizing the urgent need for stronger cybersecurity measures, key institutions such as the country’s Central Bank are working to establish a targeted cyber resilience council to protect financial infrastructure.

As financial institutions, healthcare providers, and government agencies across the globe face an unprecedented cyber threat landscape, regional regulators are strengthening Zero Trust frameworks, adopting AI-powered security solutions, and enforcing stricter compliance measures.

The shift from financial extortion to full-scale business disruption means enterprises must rethink their cyber defenses before an attack happens, particularly in sectors that rely on cloud and third-party vendors.

The 2025 Unit 42 Global Incident Response Report, which analyzed hundreds of major cyber incidents, aims to highlight how the increased sophistication of malicious actors is amplifying the challenges faced by businesses worldwide.

Key findings of the 2025 Unit 42 Global Incident Response Report include:

    • Operational Disruption as a Primary Goal: Attackers are prioritizing sabotage over data theft, aiming to cripple businesses and maximize extortion. In 2024, 86% of incidents led to operational downtime or reputational damage.
    • Surge in Insider Threats Linked to North Korea: Cases tripled in 2024, with operatives targeting contract-based technical roles at major tech firms, financial services, media, and government defense contractors. Advanced techniques, including hardware-based KVM-over-IP devices and Visual Studio Code tunneling, make detection more challenging.
    • Accelerated Data Exfiltration: Attackers are exfiltrating data three times faster than in 2021, with 25% of cases seeing data stolen within five hours, and nearly 20% occurring in under an hour.
    • Expanded Attack Surfaces: 70% of incidents involved three or more attack vectors, underscoring the need for comprehensive security across endpoints, networks, cloud environments, and human vulnerabilities. Web browsers remain a weak link, facilitating 44% of attacks via phishing, malicious redirects, and malware downloads.
    • Phishing Resurges as Top Entry Point: 23% of attacks began with phishing, overtaking vulnerabilities as the leading attack vector. GenAI has made phishing campaigns more scalable, sophisticated, and difficult to detect.

“Cyber criminals targeting organizations in the Asia-Pacific and Japan region are no longer just stealing data, they are actively taking down entire operations,” said Philippa Cogswell, vice president and managing partner, Unit 42, Asia-Pacific & Japan, Palo Alto Networks. “Traditional approaches to cybersecurity are no longer sufficient in addressing the visibility gaps and complexity challenges that organisations face today. To stay ahead of evolving threats, businesses must adopt AI-driven, automated security solutions that can outpace adversaries and provide comprehensive real-time protection.”

“As cyber threats in Asia-Pacific evolve from data theft to full-scale operational disruption, it is crucial for organizations to reassess their cybersecurity strategies, and shift from fragmented approaches towards a unified security approach that prioritizes real-time threat detection, rapid response, and actionable threat intelligence,” said Steven Scheurmann, regional vice president, ASEAN, Palo Alto Networks. “In the Philippines, where critical sectors like finance, healthcare, and government are increasingly reliant on digital infrastructure, building cyber resilience requires not only advanced technological capabilities but also a deeper and stronger collaboration between public and private stakeholders to safeguard the nation’s digital future.”

Data for this report was sourced from more than 500 cases Unit 42 responded to between October 2023 and December 2024, as well as from other case data going back to 2021. The affected organizations were headquartered in 38 unique countries, including the U.S. and those based in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.

UnaCash: 1 in 4 Filipinos have used Buy Now, Pay Later services

According to digital financial solutions provider UnaCash, the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) market in the Philippines has seen significant growth in terms of unique users, with at least one out of four Filipinos having tried the service at least once between 2018 and the end of 2024.

New insights from UnaCash reveal that 28.4 million Filipinos have used BNPL as of end-2024, displaying a 40% increase from the 20.3 million unique users tallied in 2023.

    UnaCash

Compared to the rest of Southeast Asia (SEA), the Philippines ranks second in BNPL penetration rate among its total population, following Singapore (31.36%, 1.9 million users out of a total population of 6.05 million). Malaysia comes in third (22.09%, 8.15 million users from a total population of 34.67 million), followed by Thailand (18.72%, 13.46 million users from a total population of 71.89 million), and Indonesia (17.89%, 50.30 million users from a total population of 279.80 million).

Examining digital commerce users opting for BNPL options, Singapore led the category with 32.30%, followed by the Philippines (30.36%), Indonesia (23.51%), Malaysia (22.09%), and Vietnam (19.74%).

These data sets clearly illustrate the overall use of BNPL as a flexible payment option, along with its significant role in expanding the digital marketplace. Internal behavioral data from UnaCash also revealed that consumers primarily focus on purchasing gadgets and electronics, particularly through mobile devices. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, the demand for these products remains high, contributing to the growth of BNPL.

“Filipinos are clearly embracing the flexibility and convenience that buy now, pay later services offer, and businesses are embracing this critical strategy to enhance customer accessibility and satisfaction,” explained Erwin Ocampo, head of product for UnaCash.

Looking ahead, UnaCash anticipates an increase in BNPL usage in the Philippines by 28.39% among the total population at the end of 2025. Its growth is also particularly notable among BNPL users on digital commerce platforms, where there is an expected usage increase of 34.24%.

Ocampo added, “Flexible payment options are becoming the norm, a main selling point especially among GenZs and Millennials. Embracing partnerships with financial services players is a way for businesses to meet the shifting demands of consumers and position themselves for long-term success in the competitive marketplace.”

PH will have the best emergency response system in Asia once next-gen 911 system is fully implemented

During the 7th General Assembly of the League of Provinces of the Philippines on February 7, 2025, DILG Secretary Juanito “Jonvic” Remulla called on local chief executives to extend full support to the country’s implementation of the next-gen 911 system for a faster, more efficient response to emergencies.

The Philippines ranks very high in the World Risk Index due to its vulnerability to typhoons, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other natural disasters. In fact, it has topped the list consistently from 2009 to 2024, making it the most disaster-prone country globally.

Add to this the everyday challenges of vehicular accidents, medical emergencies, thefts, domestic quarrels, and neighborhood disturbances, so a local government unit’s ability to provide swift and effective emergency response is of life-and-death importance.

Unfortunately, most LGUs use different emergency hotline numbers, making it hard for citizens to remember what number to call and what procedures to follow while in a particular LGU.

Recognizing this, the Department of Interior and Local Government called for a unified national emergency response system using next-generation, advanced technology that would respond swiftly and accurately to emergency calls in every barangay.

In August 2024, under the leadership of Executive Director Francis Fajardo of the E911 national office, the DILG launched a Revitalized 911 program that improved emergency response, beginning with the Philippine National Police (PNP). Supported by new technology, the PNP improved its response time to within 3 to 5 minutes, and 90% of all calls are answered after just two rings.

Seven LGUs — including Morong, Rizal; Alaminos City, Pangasinan; Cebu City, Cagayan De Oro City, and Mambajao, Camiguin — are now equipped with next-generation 911 solutions that are fully digital, IP-based, and focused on speed, accuracy, and efficiency. The next-gen system that replaces traditional 911 infrastructure and expands communication options beyond voice calls has been provided by NGA 911 Philippines, the local subsidiary of NGA 911 LLC, a US-based company that provides the advanced technology worldwide.

The next-gen system directly routes 911 calls to the LGUs’ emergency response command centers. Advanced data dashboards allow responders to visualize crucial information that results in faster decision-making. An automated incident ticketing system designed to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and significantly improve response times is in place.

    next-gen 911

“But there are more enhancements to look forward to in the coming months,” said Robert Llaguno, country head of NGA Philippines. “Caller location tracking, the ability to send photos and videos through the system, integration with CCTV networks, and auto transcription that converts live or recorded audio into text are improvements that will provide useful data to boost public safety.”

When all the features of the cutting-edge technology are in place, the Philippines will be the leader in next-generation emergency response in Asia, Llaguno shared. The Philippines is the first Southeast Asian country to roll out next-generation 911 – the same technology used in the US and Europe — by partnering with companies like NGA 911 Philippines and PLDT Global.

Llaguno mentioned other advantages of the new technology that will revolutionize emergency response in a disaster-prone area like the Philippines. “The next-gen technology allows for seamless communication and data sharing between different public safety agencies so they can have a coordinated response to emergencies. The new technology is interoperable. It can let different agencies and LGUs communicate and share information effectively,” Llaguno said.

Llaguno added that location-based routing provides information that can pinpoint callers’ actual locations. This results in faster and more accurate dispatch of emergency services.

Dispatchers and first responders also receive real-time information, which includes live video feeds from callers that let them assess the situation first before they arrive on the scene.

“All told, NG911 makes emergency response highly adaptable and reliable. It is better equipped to handle emergencies, including natural disasters and mass casualty events,” Llaguno said.

Next-generation advanced 911 is being acknowledged as the next evolutionary step in emergency and public safety communication systems because the cutting-edge system integrates with modern technology to provide a richer context for emergencies and allows dispatchers and first responders to make more informed decisions while deploying the right resources and assistance.

“Once a full next-gen, unified national emergency response system is in place and running at full capacity, the Philippines will be one of the best, if not the best, in terms of emergency preparedness and response in Southeast Asia,” Llaguno concluded.

Female farmer-vlogger reaps success with technology

In the province of Tuguegarao, where farming is one of the main sources of livelihood among residents, 36-year-old Maureen Ann Blancad has transformed her life as a farmer and her community through the power of technology. Once a traditional farmer, Maureen has turned to vlogging to share her journey and knowledge with her followers online. Her story is a testament to the resilience and adaptability of women in agriculture, especially in the face of adversity.

Maureen’s journey into farming began under challenging circumstances. “I started farming when my husband had an accident and couldn’t work. There was no one else to tend to our land, so I took over,” she recalled. Despite the initial struggles, including learning how to plow and manage the farm, Maureen persevered. “With my husband’s guidance, I learned the ropes. It was tough, but I had to stay positive for my family.”

    female farmer

Maureen’s farming skills received a substantial boost when she joined the Scaling Up Sustainability Project, an initiative led by the Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA) in collaboration with PLDT Inc. (PLDT), and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart). With funding support through a GlobalGiving grant in partnership with Corteva, this project aims to train 100 Filipino farmers on climate-smart practices and entrepreneurship, to enhance productivity and resilience.

The project unfolds in two phases:  Phase 1 focuses on mentorship, and Phase 2 focuses on cascading. The mentorship activities allow women farmer champions to interact with key experts from PPSA’s network to build the farmers’ individual expertise on a chosen topic and, at the same time, help build the skills, tools, and materials needed for cascading activities. Phase 2 also consists of cascading activities of the farmers through organized training sessions where farmer champions will serve as resource persons.

The project introduced Maureen to various digital tools and technologies that revolutionized her farming practices. “Technology has made a big difference. From online marketing to modern farming techniques, I’ve learned so much,” she said. One of the significant changes was the use of social media to market her produce. “Thanks to social media, we can sell our products faster and reach more customers. Sometimes, our harvests are sold out even before we bring them to the market.”

Maureen’s success as a farmer and vlogger has not only improved her family’s livelihood but also inspired her community. She is currently undergoing a three-month mentorship program on digital entrepreneurship facilitated by PLDT and Smart and on water management, drip irrigation for corn and vegetables facilitated by Harbest Agribusiness Corporation so that she can teach other farmers and encourage them to embrace technology. “It’s a big responsibility, but I want to help other farmers learn about modern farming and how to use social media for marketing,” she explained. Her vlogs, which cover various farming activities and techniques, have become a valuable resource for many. “It also helps that Smart’s signal is strong in our area, we have an easy time uploading my videos.”

Balancing her roles as a farmer, vlogger, and mother of three, Maureen emphasized the importance of time management. “It’s all about balancing your responsibilities. My children help on the farm when they are not in school, mostly during the summer. It’s a family effort,” she said with a smile.

The Scaling Up Sustainability Project has been instrumental in Maureen’s journey. PLDT and Smart’s support for this program is an extension of their commitment to digital inclusion through the Digital Farmers Program, implemented in partnership with the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute. By integrating digital entrepreneurship training into this initiative, PLDT and Smart are equipping farmers with the knowledge and tools to maximize technology to increase farmers’ productivity and resilience.  “The training has changed my life,” Maureen said.

Looking ahead, Maureen dreams of turning her farm into a farm school to share her knowledge with more farmers. “I hope to get approval for our farm school. It’s my way of giving back to the community,” she said. Her message to fellow farmers is clear: “Don’t be afraid to embrace new technologies. They can help increase your yield, reduce costs, and make farming more manageable.”

Maureen’s story is a shining example of how technology can empower women in agriculture, transforming their lives and communities, and making a difference, one field at a time.

PLDT and Smart’s support for PPSA’s Scaling Up Sustainability Project to benefit women farmer leaders like Maureen is part of its broader goal, together with its partners, to boost livelihood productivity and efficiencies in agriculture. This also supports PLDT and Smart’s efforts to bridge the digital divide and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG), specifically UNSDG No. 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
