Rakuten Viber is expanding its rich business messaging capabilities with two new interactive solutions: Carousel and List messages. These additions help brands streamline communication and automate customer experiences within the Viber app.

    CAROUSEL

Carousel messages enable businesses across various industries to showcase up to five scrollable cards in a single message. Each card can include an image, text, emojis and up to two call-to-action buttons linking directly to a website or online store. With these messages, brands can share bundle promotions, product recommendations, limited-time offers, new arrivals, and more, while users can easily choose what interests them most.

    Key Benefits
    • Enhancing UX with an easy-to-view, scrollable format
    • Improving CTR with appealing rich media
    • Boosting sales with direct links that encourage quick purchases

    LIST

List messages present users with up to five predefined options they can tap to respond – ideal for quick actions like booking confirmations, delivery scheduling and feedback collection. Once a user selects an option, their choice is sent as a message, allowing businesses to reply automatically.

    Key Benefits:
    • Driving conversations with quick, guided replies
    • Increasing engagement with clear, actionable choices
    • Saving time by automating repetitive tasks with tap-based responses

The two new solutions extend the existing suite of Viber rich business messages, which help brands build personalized, one-to-one communication with their existing customers.

“It is our mission to be a super app for both users and businesses,” says Cristina Constandache, chief revenue officer at Rakuten Viber. “To meet the needs of both, we are constantly evolving. Carousel and List messages are designed to match growing customer expectations for faster, more interactive, and automated digital experiences—and to help businesses drive sales.”

Carousel and List messages are currently rolling out to early adopters and will be available to all businesses globally in the coming weeks.
