ArchivesBehringer announces 3 iPad Mixers with docking station

Behringer’s new XENYX iX series is crafted with the iPad specifically in mind. It’s an interesting concept with a great design that should have tablet musicians drooling at the ability to have deeper control of their apps.

Unveiled at this year’s NAMM (which is basically the CES for music gear), these small format mixers come in 3 models: the iX3242USB, iX2442USB and iX1642USB. All variants have built-in iPad docking stations, allowing the Apple tablet to seamlessly blend into it. The iX mixers are also natively equipped with a USB audio interface, so that you can connect straight to a PC or Mac and record any sound source (i.e. guitar, mics, etc.), making it a versatile tool to have in your arsenal, whether you’re tracking in the studio or performing live.

Aside from having the XENYC mic pre amps, other great features include the ability to sync your performances to video with the iPad, and an awesome “one-knob” compression option on all mono channels, giving instant punch to your mix. The iX mixers are equipped with the new dual-engine KLARK-TEKNIK FX processor with its own app, providing you with fully tweakable 32 studio-grade preset multi-effects and even a full spectrum analyzer.
