Canon recently unveiled its flagship DSLR and mirrorless cameras to both cater professional photographers and vloggers.
The Canon EOS 90D now offers fast and convenient shooting through its optical viewfinder equipped with a 45 cross-type AF sensor. It has a 32.5-megapixel APS-C sensor good for capturing striking images and videos, particularly with fast-moving subjects. Powering the camera is an advanced DIGIC 8 image processor paired with Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus technology that easily tracks the subjects. Its ISO sensitivity can go up to 51,200 which gives users the freedom to shoot even in low-light conditions, while its silent electronic shutter has a maximum speed of 1/16,000 seconds good for sports photography. There’s also a multi-controller joystick that provides more tactile control over the AF point selection, a vari-angle LCD monitor, and a fatigue-reducing mechanism on the shutter button for continuous shooting. The EOS 90D is also supports cropped and uncropped 4K video recording and shoot dynamic footages in high frame rates of 120 and 100p.
Meanwhile, the Canon EOS M6 Mark II is a compact, mirrorless camera designed for vloggers. Enhanced with fast-locking and fast-tracking autofocus, it is equipped with a 32.5-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor mated with a DIGIC 8 image processor. It adopts the same Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus technology from the EOS 90D for capturing sharper images. It has a 5,481 AF positions that provide flexibility when it comes to changing the focus position in the frame. As a good camera for event coverages, it’s capable of continuous shooting up to 30 fps in RAW burst mode, boasts an electronic shutter, and supports an optional electronic viewfinder that allows touch and drag autofocus. In terms of video recording, the EOS M6 Mark II has an option to shoot 4K videos with no cropping, delivers super slow-motion scenes at 120p and 100p in Full High Definition, and is equipped with a 5-axis digital image stabilization.
Both the EOS 90D and the EOS M6 Mark II sports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for sharing photos directly to other smart devices and social media platforms. Smartphones can also turn into live viewfinders and be used as remote controls through the Canon Camera Connect App.
The price of the Canon EOS 90D starts at PHP 81,998 (with 18mm-55mm kit lens) while the price for the Canon EOS M6 Mark II begins at PHP 60,998 (with 15mm-45mm kit lens).
