Visa, a global leader in digital payments, and MOONTON Games, the international video game company behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), are strengthening their collaboration in one of the world’s most vibrant MLBB communities. The goal is to bring Filipino fans closer to the esports moments and experiences they love.
Visa and MOONTON Games successfully hosted the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 18, the flagship local tournament of MLBB. It drew 20,000 onsite fans and reached more than 1.49 million peak concurrent viewers (PCV) over its two-month run, according to Esports Charts. These milestones underscore the scale of Visa’s collaboration with MOONTON Games, connecting the brand with one of esports’ most passionate local communities and a rapidly growing global audience.
BUILDING ON THE M SERIES DEAL
The collaboration follows the announcement of Visa as the Global Payment Partner for the next three editions of the M Series, covering the M8 World Championship (M8) in 2027 through the M10 World Championship (M10) in 2029. The M Series is MLBB’s flagship international competition and the most-watched mobile esports tournament in history, with 5.68 million PCV, according to Esports Charts.
With an estimated gaming and esports market size of 68 million, the Philippines continues to play a pivotal role in the growth of esports, regionally and globally. The expanded partnership also builds on MLBB Esports’ global expansion strategy, now supported by Visa’s global payments network.
