We knew it would only be a matter of time before the search giant found a way to start indexing Facebook comments, and lo and behold, that time is now. Digital Inspiration reports that Google is now able to read and index Facebook comments like the one used by several sites, something that they weren’t able to do before. This now means people can now search Google for all the comments you might made using the Facebook comments platform. To be clear, Google is only able to search and index sites using the Facebook comments platform, and not Facebook itself (yet).
What does this mean for you? Absolutely nothing, if you’re a normal human being and haven’t said anything utterly stupid and retarded on any website ever that uses the Facebook commenting system. If you did say something stupid (for example saying something idiotic like Hitler did the right thing or that 9/11 was an inside job) your comments can now be searched for and referenced by almost anyone, including future employers, spouses, potential frenemies and whoever has an internet connection and knows how to Google.
