The Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), the official importer and distributor of BMW cars in the Philippines, was appointed by the Philippine government to serve as the official premium vehicle partner for the 23rd World Economic Forum on East Asia (WEF-EA) to be held on May 21 to 23, 2014 at The Makati Shangri-La Hotel, Metro Manila.
“ACC is honored to once again partner with the Philippine government as the official premium vehicle partner for the 23rd WEF-EA. We are delighted that our partnership with the government in efforts to boost the country’s economy including the 45th Asian Development Bank (ADB) Annual Governors’ Meeting in May 2012, is sustained and, more importantly, strengthened,” said ACC President Maricar Parco. “We continuously showcase our full support to the government’s undertakings in ensuring that ASEAN member countries are resilient and adept in the face of unpredictable economic challenges by providing BMW vehicles with unmatched superior performance, comfort, safety, and security,” she added.
ACC will provide 25 units of the BMW 7 Series, from BMW’s flagship model series, to serve as transportation for the visiting government leaders and heads of state. In accordance to the partnership, the vehicles will be turned over to the Philippine government.
According to Glen Dasig, ACC Executive Director for Sales and Marketing, BMW has become a “preferred premium vehicle provider that services significant gatherings globally including social, governmental and regional events,” due to the brand’s capability to “deliver superior mobility performance, safety, comfort, and luxury.”
It is the Philippines’ first time to host the World Economic Forum, and will be a chance to showcase the continuous economic growth experienced by the ASEAN member nations.
