If keeping your car clean and presentable at all times is a pain for you because you don’t have time for a regular car wash appointment, then you might be happy to hear this news. Nissan is currently working on a prototype of a “self-cleaning” car.
Nissan is trying to equip some of their models with a special super-hydrophobic paint called Ultra-Ever Dry, by UltraTech International, that has been designed to resist any water and oil substance.
“By creating a protective layer of air between the paint and environment, it effectively stops standing water and road spray from creating dirty marks on the car’s surface,” Nissan said in a statement.
According to Nissan they will conduct further run-throughs at their Technical Center in Europe.
