Voyager Innovations, Inc., the Philippine Long Distance Telecommunications’ (PLDT) digital arm, has launched SafeZone, a platform that allows free mobile access to apps and sites of brands and businesses.

“SafeZone presents a real win-win scenario for businesses and consumers alike,” said Orlando B. Vea, president of Voyager. “By offering free access to businesses’ apps and sites, SafeZone enhances the value proposition of brands to their customers, so their users are better served and companies are more efficient. This platform will open the door so that more companies will be able to take advantage of this kind of powerful partnership.”

Initially available services are familiar names in local and global entertainment, online commerce, travel, transportation, and news. The list includes Philippine Airlines, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Agoda, Inquirer, Skyscanner, ZALORA, Carmudi, Lamudi, SPINNR, GameX, Babble Messenger, Eat Bulaga, and Pinoy Hoops, among others. Additionally, users can access their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts for free by linking their SNS profiles to the SafeZone Social page.

“With growing smartphone penetration in the Philippines, more users are now accessing online services via their mobile phones. This presents an opportunity for businesses to reach out to their customers wherever they are through their smartphones, and be closer to them than ever before,” said Benjie Fernandez, Chief Operating Officer of Voyager.

Other brands like Philippine Star, Interaksyon, Yahoo! Celebrity, Takatack, Tripda, and foodpanda will soon be added to SafeZone’s list of affiliates.

SafeZone can be accessed through www.safezone.ph or through the SafeZone app for Android users. Accessing a website or service not partnered with SafeZone automatically brings users to a window warning them of load deduction should they proceed.
