Globe is expanding connectivity beyond traditional mobile network coverage with Globe Starlink, its satellite-powered mobile service now available to Globe and TM customers. Starting at PHP99 for Globe Prepaid and TM users, the service allows customers with compatible devices to stay connected in areas where terrestrial mobile signals may be limited or unavailable.
Globe Postpaid subscribers on Plan 1499 and up, along with Globe Platinum customers, can access the service at no additional cost, extending connectivity to remote locations where conventional mobile infrastructure may not reach.
Staying connected beyond mobile coverage
The launch broadens connectivity options for communities, travelers, field workers, and individuals who frequently venture into remote areas. Through Globe Starlink, users can access messaging, app-based calls, navigation, digital payments, and other essential online services even outside the reach of traditional mobile networks.
“With Globe Starlink, connection will go further, helping every Filipino stay connected wherever life takes them,” said Eric Tanbauco, consumer mobile business vice president at Globe. “Reliable connectivity today is no longer just about convenience. It gives people confidence to move forward, pursue opportunities, and stay connected during the moments that matter most. Connectivity should not stop where towers end.”
Plans and device compatibility
To make the service accessible across different customer segments, Globe is offering free access for three months to Globe Postpaid customers on Plans 1499 and up, while Globe Platinum subscribers receive one year of complimentary access. Globe Prepaid and TM users can subscribe to the service starting at PHP99 beginning June 30, 2026.
Compatible Android and HarmonyOS devices support SMS, app-based calling, messaging platforms such as Viber, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger, along with navigation services, eGov PH, GCash, and GlobeOne, even in locations without traditional mobile coverage. Support for iOS devices is expected in a future software update.
Tested in remote Philippine locations
Earlier this year, Globe completed live pilot tests in remote areas across Rizal, Batangas, and Bataan. The trials successfully enabled SMS, app-based calls, navigation, digital payments, and access to government services in locations without existing mobile coverage.
The company formally launched the initiative in January alongside President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., highlighting the potential of satellite-enabled mobile technology to strengthen digital inclusion and improve connectivity resilience across the country.
