NEW YORK, Nov. 03, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — In response to more companies ramping up their cloud-based solutions and applications, MASS Communications announced that it is partnering with several leading vendors to increase its Software Defined-Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) product capabilities.

Without question, the market is moving toward SD-WAN so if you are in need of SD-WAN for your business then take a look at these tips on what to look for. Market intelligence firm International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts that SD-WAN will become a $6 billion industry by 2020.

“SD-WAN fits right in our wheelhouse – it’s an extension of our existing over-the-top solutions and offers both scalability and flexibility so our customers can achieve their growth goals,” says Paul Goldman, Senior Director of Client Solutions at MASS Communications. “SD-WAN’s acceptance is a given, and we have taken a thoughtful partnership approach where we can focus on the critical provisioning, delivery and management of SD-WAN networks and devices. The end result is peace-of-mind for our customers.”

SD-WAN offers many benefits, from faster network speeds and greater link uptime, to a wider deployment footprint and strategic implementations. Customers gain more control with the management of their own devices and routers.

SD-WAN makes use of multiple transport protocols and has intelligent path control – meaning it can steer the traffic based on the application and other factors like time-of-day and quality-of-service requirements. In addition, users can more quickly provision and deploy SD-WAN compared to traditional routers that go un-configured to the customer. Keys and policies are downloaded and once connected, SD-WAN circuits automatically learn the traffic patterns.

SD-WAN is part of MASS Communications’ array of private networking solutions, and brings new levels of flexibility, data security and path control options based on customers’ specific requirements.

MASS Communications officials note that the enhanced flexibility and security of SD-WAN enhances what cable and broadband providers can offer to the telecommunications market beyond secondary capacity and diversity solutions.

MASS will announce in the coming weeks formal agreements with key SD-WAN partners.
