    Phone users, have you held your smartphone in your hand and felt that there just wasn’t enough screen on which to view your content? You readers with tablets, have you struggled with your massive slate and wished it were just a little more manageable? Samsung has heard your pleas for the perfect phablet, and present for your consideration the Samsung Galaxy Mega.

    The Galaxy Mega gives users the best of both phone and tablet, and brings more of Samsung’s  great build quality and value to the phablet market. The device combines the portability and convenience of a regular smartphone, with the power, multitasking capability and large screen real estate of a tablet. The newest addition to the Galaxy family has a 6.3-inch, HD screen, yet remains compact enough to stuff into a pocket and use with one hand.

    The Galaxy Mega comes with a software suite that will be familiar to those who have experienced the Galaxy series of devices. Among the software loaded on to the Mega is Group Play that allows users to share a media file, as long as they are all connected to the same Wi-Fi network; Samsung Link, which lets the device stream all sorts of media to your TV, tablet or computer, and S Translator, which instantly translates text or spoken word into a language you can understand.

    The Galaxy Mega also lets users multi-task via the Galaxy’s familiar Split-Screen interface for a variety of commonly-used applications, bringing a whole other level of productivity on the go.

    The GALAXY Mega is equipped with an enhanced 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera, along with a variety of camera modes including  Drama Shot’ (merging continuous shots of a moving object), ‘Sound & Shot’ (captures 9 seconds of sound and voice together as the picture is taken to capture moments), ‘Rich tone,’ ‘Sports’ and more.

    The Galaxy Mega 6.3 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and a 1.7GHz processor on top of  1.5GHz of RAM. Its 8GB of internal memory can be expanded with a microSD up to 64GB large. The 6.3-inch screen has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels, and a density of about 233 ppi.
