After launching the Mio Fazzio ‘Start Youniqueness’ campaign in a stellar celebration in Davao City, Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. was poised to take the experience to another level. It’s all about redefining fashion through motion while remaining innovative, fluid, and inclusive of everyone’s personality. A showcase of Yamaha’s desire to deliver a machine that cultivates the way you ride, supports your passions, and elevates your style. Because what you wear when riding a motorcycle can also be stylish and not just functional.
By holding a contest exclusive to Mio Fazzio owners, they challenged riders to take their current style to the next level by recreating and showcasing their unique look. But it wasn’t your usual competition where each contestant will just battle it out with one another, its goal is to elevate their style through a unique experience that culminates on the runway.
Those who qualified for the competition spent the weekend in Privato Hotel where Day 1 started with a Fashion Class with Style Masters Bon Hansen Reyes and Kristine Ordinario from Fashion Institute of the Philippines. Their instructors imparted knowledge on the latest trends and how to create a structured look based on their own unique style. This was crucial for the competition because aside from bringing their own wardrobe, the Mio Fazzio riders will also visit the shops of Yamaha’s partner brands.
First, a pop-up shop of Nobody Clothing inside the hotel. Next, they would ride to the Flagship stores of DBTK and Coziest Brand. In each stop they would select a clothing wear of their choice to use for their ensemble.
The pace picked up on Day 2 as they rode to Balara Content Studios for the main event. First it was time for their official photoshoot where they will be judged according to their choice of wardrobe and poses to project their uniqueness. They each get five shots in six different areas with the Mio Fazzio. Albeit being fun for all the participants, there was still a hint of competitiveness in the air.
After sunset it was time for the runway show where selected media guests, influencers, and YClub Riders were in attendance to see the participants strut their stuff. Each of them walked out with confidence and passion, displaying their unique aesthetic.
Then it was time to find out who would take home the prize. First to be announced were the special awards. The Social media award went to Erica Dela Cruz who had the best posts about the event. The Champagne award went to John Rhino Reyes who had the most sparkling personality. The Rockstar Rookie Award went to Glenn Petersen who truly exudes the Gen Z vibe. The ones who stood out among the rest with their uniqueness were Mackane Encarnacion (Pablo Fits) and Chickle Kate Dela Rosa who received the Dope as Fazz award. They each received PHP30,000 worth of shopping spree to multiple brands, including Yamaha partner brands DBTK, Nobody Clothing, and Coziest Company.
But this wasn’t just about the awards for the participants, it was about experiencing what the Mio Fazzio is all about, a cultivation and celebration of their style. And each of them would go home with memories that will always rev their heart. Yamaha will continue to create these opportunities for riders to flex their identity when they put together a signature look in liberating fashion. Together with a machine that magnifies your uniqueness.
