Meanwhile, the CAMPI (Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc.) sales report showed that the Toyota Vios set a new sales record in August 2013. Since its introduction a decade ago, the Toyota Vios attained its highest sales volume registering 2,125 units in a single month.
In a statement, TMP President Michinobu Sugata said, “Having to reach this number of units sold in one month can be attributed to the trust that the customers have shown towards the Full Model Change Vios. On top of its already known quality features, this new model embodies excitement in every angle making it a car that is fun-to-drive for everyone.”
Aside from the Vios, other Toyota models also performed well in August. The Toyota Innova sold a total of 1,129 units making it the highest selling commercial vehicle model. The Camry, Corolla Altis, Hi-Ace, and the Hilux also continued to be the best-selling vehicles in their respective segments.
All in all, Toyota posted a total of 6,007 units sold grabbing 43.8% share of August automotive sales.
