Google Photos provides unlimited space for photos and videos. This application is available for Android, Apple and desktop users.

Although it is capable of unlimited space, any photo that exceeds to 16 megapixels or 1080p will be automatically compressed. Google says that users should be worry free since the compression of photos is not noticeable to the naked eye.

Google Photos also advises the user when the photo storage is about to be depleted so as to not force the users to delete important images in their phones. It can also identify the images that have already been backed up.

Just like Facebook, it can recognize faces. It can also create a timeline of the people in the picture, meaning, it can arrange your photos from infancy to adulthood. Aside from face recognition, it can also group the pictures by what’s in them. Simply by typing keywords in your phone, Google Photos will display the pictures on your screen. For example, “Type in search terms like grass, red, cats, shoes, kiss, grandma, baby, or Eiffel Tower and instantly see all images that match.”

The users of this app are secured because of its privacy setting. Users can control the images that is displayed publicly.

You can also create slideshows, GIFs and movies using the Google’s smart “Assistant” feature.
