LG Philippines launched its new OLED AI TV last July 22, at the recently opened Museo de Intramuros.

LG’s newest OLED TV has its new α7 Gen 2 and α9 Gen 2 processors with Deep Learning Technology which enables the TV to understand how to enhance pictures and sounds for any type of content. This means that the built-in AI can optimize different contents to best suit your viewing experience.

The AI also doesn’t stop at content; It can now perform two-way communications with the user. In a demonstration with LG brand ambassador James Deakin and LG Philippines Vice President for Home Entertainment Tony An, the TV recognized different questions and instructions and responded accordingly.

Aside from AI, the new flagship OLED TV still has all the great features LG has to offer such as its own OLED Panel, virtual 5.1 surround sound system boosted by LG’s intelligent algorithm and Deep Learning Technology.

It also is HDR-capable with the help of Dolby Atmos. It also optimizes contents that are compatible with Dolby Vision. The TV also supports HDMI 2.1 allowing the audience to enjoy 4K content at 60fps. It also supports automatic low latency mode, variable refresh rate, and enhance audio return channel.

As part of the launch, LG also gave the Intramuros Administration six of the brand new OLED TVs.

“We at LG Philippines remain committed to doing our part to preserve and showcase Philippine history. We hope that through the integration of our industry-leading OLED TV technology with riveting historical significant content, we are able to communicate to audiences both old and new, the importance of Intramuros and Philippine history as a whole,” said Inkwun Heo, Managing Director, LG Philippines.

For its part, Intramuros Administration Administrator Atty. Guiller Asido thanked LG for its support in historical conservation in the walled city.

“This particular year is a special year for Intramuros Administration, as we said this is our 40th year, and the site where you are right now, the Museo de Intramuros is a 40-year project. That’s how long it took to open this museum. But we would like to thank you all, and we are really humbled by this expression of support that you are giving to us,” said Asido.
