Quick Look: Samsung Galaxy C5—no it’s not an iPhone

ArchivesQuick Look: Samsung Galaxy C5—no it’s not an iPhone

The Samsung Galaxy C5 may come in a rose gold variant, and it may sport the same curvy edges, metal body, and speaker placement (among other design cues), but it’s definitely not from the Cupertino company. Hailing from the other side of the globe, Samsung’s newest gem also sports mid-tier innards to complement its déjà vu-ish good looks.

At its core is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 4 GB RAM, 32/64 GB expandable storage, and a 2600 mAh battery. For shooters, the Galaxy C5 struts a 16 MP camera at the back and an 8 MP one up front. As with most phones from the brand, its 5.2 inch FHD display is of the Super AMOLED type to give it great color reproduction and deep contrast ratio.

While it’s not officially available in the country, units have began popping up in the online gray market, with prices starting at around PHP 17,990.
