Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) recently concluded its ceremonial turnover of two additional Hyundai H-100 units to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-NCR) Field Office. These vehicles mark a total of 4 Hyundai H-100 units donated by HMPH to DSWD, and will help support DSWD’s relief response operations, especially given the Philippines’ susceptibility to natural disasters. The ceremony, held at the DSWD Sanctuary Center, Mandaluyong City, is a testament to the brand’s commitment to providing mobility solutions to all Filipinos.
In 2023, HMPH made a significant contribution through its first donation of two Hyundai H-100 units to the DSWD-NCR Field Office. These vehicles have thus far been highly utilized, playing a vital role in enhancing DSWD’s operational capabilities, enabling the timely delivery of emergency goods and services as part of their disaster response mandate for affected communities.
HMPH president Jiho Son, HMPH managing director Cecil Capacete, HMPH chief finance officer Hongshik Chin graced the ceremony. Also present were DSWD regional director Atty. Michael Joseph Lorico, DSWD assistant regional director for administration Benchie Gonzales, and DSWD assistant regional director for operation Bienvenido Barbosa Jr.
“Last year, we donated two Hyundai H-100 units to support DSWD’s disaster response and management and outreach operations. And today, we continue to show our support through the additional units we will be handing over. This donation not only fortifies our partnership, but especially Hyundai Motor’s journey towards its vision, ‘Progress for Humanity’,” said HMPH president Jiho Son, in his special message. “We are honored to be in partnership with DSWD who continuously aims to uplift the lives of Filipinos.”
