Cucina at Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas
Cucina is located inside a 5-star hotel in the heart of Ortigas. It is the flagship restaurant of Marco Polo Hotel where dishes are curated by Chef De Cuisine Giuseppe Rivoli. Situated at the 24th floor, guests can enjoy a 360-degree view of Ortigas’ skyline while feasting on the resto’s nine delectable kitchen stations: kids’, seafood, pasta, carving, cheeses and cold cuts, Japanese, Asian, grilling, and dessert.
The restaurant also features live cooking kitchens where guests can have their food cooked a la minute.
Experience: This is the first time we are featuring a restaurant inside a hotel, and this fine establishment has already set a high bar for future pads. The interior of Cucina really reminds us of a holiday feast because of its grand decorations and luxurious buffet.
As soon as I saw the seafood station, I grabbed a plate and started getting the largest and most flavorful Curacha crab in it.
There are also blue crabs, shrimps, and mussels available at the station, all of which you can have cooked in garlic butter sauce or eat it as is. Next stop is the pasta station. It was my first time seeing a large bowl of cheese where people can just scrape off the cheese along with a risotto or pasta.
I also got some sushi and sashimi in the Japanese station, but the place is also famous for their variety of dimsum and their own version of siomai.
For dessert, I indulged in the heavenly matcha cake in the dessert station. I tell you, Cucina is on top of its game because the food—both the final product and ingredients—are really top quality. Honestly, the buffet was so luxurious and grand to the point where I didn’t know where I wanted to even start. For a royal buffet experience, head out to this majestic place.
