Sun Life Canada (Philippines) Inc. joined forces with social navigation app Waze and fitness brand Fitness first to promote road safety and wellness. During the launch, the life insurance company stressed the need for Filipinos to look after themselves.
The initiative with Waze is called “Brighter Driver, Brighter Life” that features an alert for Waze users on accident-prone areas. Lazada members can avail themselves of digital life insurance from Sun Life like Life Armor through the e-commerce site.
“With thousands of Filipinos plying the roads on a daily basis, road safety is an issue that truly needs to be highlighted, especially since an accident could significantly impact their livelihood and their finances,” said Benedict Sison, CEO and country head, Sun Life. “This is why Sun Life is delighted to collaborate with Waze in this initiative, as we explore another avenue to help Filipinos secure their future.”
Sun Life’s partnership with Fitness First aims to expand the partnership to include additional club benefits and preferential rates for Sun Life clients, advisers, and employees with GoWell, Sun Life’s health and wellness community.
Under the partnership, Sun Life clients, advisers, and employees can enjoy a free health assessment using the latest state-of-the-art technology called Boditrax, a precision body composition analyzer which offers clinically validated measurements, a complimentary one-day workout pass, and discounted membership rates at Fitness First branches. To avail themselves of the free assessment, interested individuals can just visit the link that will be emailed to them, sign up to GoWell and set an appointment with Fitness First.
Sun Life hopes that these partnerships will increase Filipinos’ road safety and health awareness.
